I stopped reading there. "without much difficulty" would imply that all 31 of the other teams could EASILY take him out of his game. and they're all pros.... apparently they just choose not to because they like being abused...

Wow, it took me way too long, way too much research, and used way too many words to essentially say THIS.
Deville, I gotta learn to be more succinct.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

Not sure what this has to do with resigning AB.

What we als have to remember is Julio didn't dominate every game. Plenty of fans watch a few Steeler games and watched AB torch secondaries.

Freeman and Coleman behind that offensive line have been the most consistent running game in the league. Julio has that running game behind him where defense can't just put all their attention on just him.

I said that to say, what if we had another running back almost as good as Bell? To always keep our running game top notch? Give AB that and then see how easy it would be to take him out the game. There would be no way a defense could focus on him either.

one thing people forget is Matt Ryan is great at play action and doesn't just go through the motions or go empty backfield.

people wonder why Jones is open and part of the reason is the play action is legit.

Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown is the best receiver in the league, which leaves Rodney Harrison to question why teams aren't watching the tape and double teaming him in order to slow him down.

Thats your preogative, but the smart coaches like Belichick and Harbaugh know this and are willing to change game to game.
                    Its called a gameplan...

As Antonio Brown continues to get double- and even triple-teamed, he said his fellow Steelers wide receivers "need to find a way to step in, step up and make plays."

Brown finished the game with 7 catches for 85 yards and 1 touchdown, but much of that production came in the fourth quarter as the Steelers (4-4) battled back from a 21-0 deficit.

LMAO.. seems like some of you only watch Julio Jones highlights. I had him in fantasy this year and there were weeks when I had to triple check to see if he was playing because he had 0 receptions at halftime. Some of those games Atlanta put up 45 points and Jones had 2 catches.

so lets look at some of his stellar games since we want to throw out AB's 7 for 77 yards like it was doo doo.

                      Tampa rec 4 yards 66
                      N.O. rec 1 yards 16
                      Denver rec 2 yards 29
                      GB rec 3 yards 29
                      AZ rec 4 yards 35
                      Car rec 4 yards 60
                      Seattle rec 6 yards 67

As you see, Julio doesn't always play lights out and has far more non productive games than AB. The difference is in most of these low reception games the offense still put up 30 points or more.

Brown was upset that he didn't get the red zone call instead of Deangelo Williams. Brown has lost his mind. How is this allowed? This type of environment doesn't win championships.

                        Bottom line.
This type of environment doesn't win championships. Obviously that statement isn't true. Tomlin helped this team win one championship and helped them almost win another.

How is it that the team won any games in an undisciplined environment? I don't believe Tomlin would had coached this team for sooooo long if the team was/is undisciplined. Every team has a few players that have behavioral issues that might become an issue.

On another note I'd be ok if the team didn't resign AB. AB might price himself out of what the Steelers are willing to pay anyway. The Steelers do a good job finding talented WR's.

yep. not necessarily a bad thing. It will force Roethlisberger to look elsewhere and might even help the offensive output. With a guy like AB, you almost feel obligated to get him 15 touches a game instead of spreading it around.

Unfortunately he can be taken out of a game by doubling him.
If we want to pay big,big $$$$ for a guy that can occupy 2 defenders on most plays then we need to be smart enough to use the other guys on the field.
AB is going to be unguardable if and when Martavis comes back on to the other side of the field. Not many people acknowledge this, but Martavis has "best WR in football" ability. Not many people acknowledge this, but its true. In other words, we potentially can have (at times, when Bryant is on) the #1 and #2 WR in football. That's why his loss hurt so much to me.

I think it is legitimate to think of ABs future years (i.e. how much he'll have left). But with a guy Bryant on the cheap for the next couple years, it becomes less important because he can pick up any slack.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.

Remember when Wheaton went off in the Seattle game? That should be our #2 regardless of who it is. Jesse James made a play and almost scored but no one else seemed up to the task besides Rodgers and I think he should get more targets in those types of situations. One person who doesn't need more targets in big games is Coates. He needs to hit the jugs machine twice a day, every day.

At this point the only thing Coates is is a lousy decoy. No team will be scared by him being in a game. I understand his injury, but it could be that he will never recover.
[QUOTE] If Coates works hard, he has the upside to develop into a No. 1 receiver. The most likely scenario is he turns into a quality starter, but not an elite receiver. Coates should go in the first couple of rounds of the 2015 NFL Draft.
