I wouldn't blame him for all the Steelers' woes, but I sure can't agree that he "played really well the entire season."

I don't understand what people are seeing with Mike Mitchell, Besides a play here and there he has been a rock at free safety, he brings it 100% every game.

Someone has to take the blame besides Jarvis.

Do you remember when Gay was blamed for every loss a few years ago?

Rock solid this season? Don't see that, but admit he has looked better recently. Wish he would learn to use arms to make tackles rather than throwing shoulders that risk players bouncing off and getting more yards.

Pretty solid the last 3 weeks
Before this run he was part of the problem

Is that why Golden was moved to the bench, Jones to the Bench, and Gay Demoted? Because Mitchell was the problem?

Mitchell got lucky on the Timmons interception. He laid the receiver out and then held his hands up like, "I didn't do anything". We were lucky that the official at the back of the end zone had already started following Timmons down the field or that play would have been wiped out. It might have been a different ballgame due to Mitchell.
As many on this site think ... The Rooney's suck, Colbert sucks, Tomlin sucks, the coaches suck, and the players suck.

                    but Go Steelers!!!

The OP didn't say Mitchell was the problem, he said he was "part of the problem." There were a number of defensive players who were performing "below the line" before the last three games. Some underperforming players could be benched or demoted because there was a suitable alternative. There really isn't one for Mitchell on this roster. Same thing goes for Tuitt, who wasn't playing well for a stretch earlier in the season. Thankfully, both are playing well now, so there is no reason to sit them.

So since we beat the Giants does that mean they really were JV since the "glass half empty" guys usually minimize everything about a victory and overstate everything about a loss
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"

It's not a penalty, Timmons caught the ball you can run into the receiver, as long as you don't go to head or neck it's perfectly legal. If you watch the play the back judge is not following Timmons he standing right at the back of the end zone watching it.
