no not what I meant, it's the whole ESL thing holding me back again. Maybe reduce his route tree some, to the things he knows best...but we need to keep him out there. I love DBH but not over Bryant.
ours is not to wonder why just invert and multiply...

It all depends on Bryants demands. Is he going to demand Mike Wallace money??

Martavis has 76 catches for 1314 yards in 2 seasons combined. Let's see if he could put up that type of production in 1 season before we start demanding Wallace money, shall we?
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

Nice to see Wheaton showing something finally, but a slump for Bryant after the start he has had to his career isnt anything out of the ordinary...guy still has a metric **** ton of potential.

I'm a Bryant supporter although I do have concerns whether he can keep his act together off the field in the off season.

My point was I just think that Wheaton right now has stepped up his game and is the more compete WR.

I dont think theres any doubt that wheaton has stepped up, they have done a nice job layering him in the offense....seattle wants to take away brown and bryant? Nice to see they dont have a problem attacking the mismatch they had with Wheaton.

I think Bryant, Wheaton, and DHB all will have a role if the team goes on any kind of run...cant confidently say id go to wheaton with the game on the line and brown covered (as close to covered as you can get him anyway). Not saying wheaton is a bad option there, but matchups might determine who gets on the field moving forward. Not 100% sure what they have in wheaton yet, but he at least seems to have progressed from a guy that might get shutout in a game to a guy who can create a few opportunities for himself.

I wonder as I said in another thread if with so many passing plays on film that going to "new" plays has stunned Ben and Bryant the most? AB seems fine but he know how to continue the play after his route with Ben moving around in the pocket. Just seems odd after to great games VS good to very good defense's that this offense has struggled. Ben can have a stinker here and there but there seems to be a trend started at he end of the donkey's game.

I think in the Browns game Ben was forcing the ball to AB to try to get him the single season receiving record. I mean it was obvious to me sitting in my recliner and the Browns sure saw it to with some of their coverage that they got their INT from.

If that was the case that nonsense needs to stop and he needs to get back to killing the opponents through a 1000 cuts.

Oh yea Ovi forgot about that nugget! Point stressed with the hand off/quick pass in the end zone! Should have just handed it off! But slung it to AB!

I don't think Bryant was benched. He was being worked on in the first half for some injury. Never came back. Or, as someone said, he may have been sick.

Regardless, Bryant doesn't have the ball skills to contest throws. And his hands are suspect.

It usually takes receivers a few years to develop so Wheaton is right on schedule. I think Bryant is as well and was just a little ahead of schedule last year. The truth is Ben barely looks at Wheaton who I see to be open quite a bit. Ben likes to force to AB or go deep instead of taking the underneath easy shots which is what Haley stresses. I wish we'd see more of that and less of backyard playground Ben.

Doesnt have the ball skills? Thats just saying something for the sake of talking. his ball skills are fine, especially for a second year receiver. His hands were suspect coming out of college, but his hands have been pretty good.

I hated the pick, didnt even think he was a draftable WR until he ran fast at the combine....hes been a great asset to the team so far and has been a mega steal in the 4th round. Being raw AND productive can make for a special player.

Sometimes you see guys so physically gifted and never amount to anything for a number of reasons, and sometimes you see those guys go out on the field and have no idea what they are doing and still produce, but its up to bryant if thats where he wants to max out because if he tightens up his game just a little bit he can be really dominant

I thought Bryant never looked better than that 1st game with Landry Jones. I disagree with Wheaton over him. Far too early to say that. Wheaton is a good receiver. But he is replaceable, just as he replaced Sanders.

Bryant is a freak. The thing I like is he is REALLY QUICK for a big dude. I've seen big and fast but big fast AND quick is rare. I dare say he is not just faster, but is quicker than Wheaton who is quick.

I get the deal with the hands and the weed. Those are legit concerns. If those persist I get it.

But even Rice had hand issues and C Carter had "the other" issue.

Bryant may a disappointment but may be a "great" receiver. Wheat wil not disappoint, but I see his ceiling as being a Manny Sanders which is fine.

The other reason I like Bryant is that he is a different kind of receiver than Brown. Wheat is kind of like an almost Brown. Again I saw Sanders that way too.

Brown wasnt just a stud from day one, the fact that bryant has a head start on a productive career and gets to play across from one of the best and have one of the best throwing to him with an OC that LOVES WRs of his size in his offense....guy has a bright future

I have really changed my stance on bryant...i think hes gonna be special. Seems to be taking the right steps towards focusing on football and staying clean, of course time will tell. He moved his mom next to him or something, maybe most adults dont need a baby sitter..but some might and if he recognizes that, then wonderful.

People saying he cant catch or cant contest a jump ball are wrong though, thats regurgitating pre draft reporting. Wheaton had vice grips for hands in college, cant say ive seen that from him too much at this level
