    I have a strange feeling

Ben will rush himself back to play next week because Landry looked good in limited action.

I hope he sits another week or 2 and gets healthy so we can make a,playoff run. I think our D and Landry can hold it down until he returns but I have this strange feeling Ben will be back earlier than he should...

why? because if a QB can hit these WR's in stride we will see great things and the last thing a franchise QB wants to see is another QB looking all franchisy.

I hope Ben is smarter than this. I also hope the training staff and doctors will have some say so in this matter. Ben shouldn't be looking over his shoulder. He has enough history to realize, he's the man and no one compares to him.

ROFL. Landry, by all reports, has been miserable in practice, which is why a 3-8, 6 yard performance by Vick wasn't enough to get him pulled. Landry did very well in limited action vs. a defense that was scheming all week for Vick.

Let's not Wally Pipp a future HOF QB just yet.

Of course Ben was cheering Landry on but let's be honest, franchise QB's are competitors and when a QB comes in and the offense is rolling... they get anxious.

I'm not suggesting Ben wants Landry to fall on his face...not at all.

and it isn't about fending off Landry Jones.. its just the competitor in these guys which makes them rush back when they see someone balling at their position.

I know when I miss work it feels good seeing the company misses me and needs me. However, let the intern fill in and production doesn't skip a beat... I will feel some type of way about it even though my position is solid in the company.

Yeah but if you had a superbowl at the end of the year and you need that intern to fill in to make your job easier in keeping your company competitive so you can continue in adding to your HOF career while not even kind of having your job in jeopardy since you just signed a lucrative 5 year deal and are playing the best office work of your career....its a little different

This is a ridiculous thread, Ben will come back when he thinks he can play. That may or may not be to soon but the only reason he plays when he does is
because he thinks he gives this team the best chance to win a game. He is not worried about his position, smh.

Ben is 1-5 after missing a game I believe...

Ben always thinks he gives us the best chance because he is a baller... but we have seen QB's rush back after watching another QB play well.

Last year in the playoffs, Grankowski was driving us down the field after Ben went out and Ben ran back in and threw an ugly INT. Just sayin' sometimes ultimate competitors like Ben will rush back when they don't need to... I hope he takes another week off if he isn't healthy enough to play.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said Sunday he plans to be a full participant at practice this week
and did not rule out that he will play Sunday at Kansas City against the Chiefs.
“We’re going to tape it and brace it and I’m going to see what I can do,” Roethlisberger said after the Steelers beat the Arizona Cardinals, 25-13, Sunday at Heinz Field. “My plan is to go out Wednesday and practice. We’ll see what happens. I know I’ve got to be smart about it. I’ve got to be able to defend myself. We’re just going to take it day by day.”

While this is a valid point, it does not negate the fact that Landry Jones came in and played WELL. It's clear that he knows the offense better than Vick and is capable of coming in and running it with the first string competently. Practice be damned.

                      People People People!!!

Landry Jones exceeded our wildest expectations for a quarter. I'm sure some of you Madden Experts are getting ready to trade him to Buffalo next yr for their 1st round pick and their 2nd round pick in 2017

maybe Steelers practice the Coaches come up with doesn't come close enough to real game?

I am a teacher. I see kids who flub up their homework or are unable to study well occasionally perform as though a light switch was flipped at test time. There aren't many, but sometimes it happens. Maybe Landry is one of those guys...

or maybe Landry finally had a chance to throw to NFL WR's who are playmakers?

that back shoulder pass to AB? In pre-season the WR probably doesn't turn around and we just call Landry a bum.

Ok I think I see something here.....let Landry play until Ben gets healthy then see what some of the other teams need for a qb and drop as trade bait lol.
