For a guy pushing 6-9 he clearly beefed up from a year ago.

Munchak has turned players who might have well been clumps of clay into pro bowlers before...I am very exctied

Beachum was going to have a tough time getting top OT money to begin with because of his size, or lack thereof. He may very well have to play next year on a one year "prove it" contract.
Even if Villenueva goes from practice squad to beast mode, I think Beachum still has value.
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

        $$$$$$
He can play several different positions. If healthy, I'd rather have Beachbum as a backup than the likes of Mike Adams or Chris Hubbard.

Absolutely. He would be very good in the Trai Essex role as a super sub capable of filling in at every position on the line. He'd still get significant playing time in a system that he is comfortable with while he is rehabbing, giving him the best shot at getting a big deal before the 2017 season.

With Beach on IR the Steelers signed Byron Stingily. 6'5 /318 out of Lousiville. Started 9 of 20 games for Titans from 2012 to 2014 before being released in Sept. of this year.

Yeah well so would we all. But, he won't get paid in the Burgh with V behind him.

Great find by Colbert!
Gilbert is more than serviceable. He's living up to the contract that he signed last off season. With the injuries to Pouncey and now Beachum, we are going to have to count on the right side of our OL (DeCastro and Gilbert) even more now.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

No one's going to pay him a big money long term deal coming off an ACL tear, so his best option this off season will likely be a one year bridge deal with the Steelers to prove to the league that he's recovered, and then chase that potential payday in 2017 (in Pittsburgh or elsewhere).

He's built more like a center, and Pouncey has a very serious infection that has been known to end careers. I wouldn't jettison him just yet.

Hopefully, he won't need to play...but, if he does, he's at least familiar with Munchak's blocking scheme...

"Stingily" sounds like an adverb that would be used a lot by beekeepers.

Agree. Fosters contract is up. Move Beachum inside to Guard. Pay him a good Guard salary as part of a resign and you have your starting Guard and back up Left Tackle all in one

Sorry but he would be a horrible guard IMO he can't get push on the edge he surely will get moved like a puppet if he was inside.

Or if you pronounce it a little differently, to describe Ebenezer Scrooge.

Didn't we have a RB in training camp this year with the same last name?
