fwiw I believe the Ray is the nicer, more well spoken kid. Heard he is pretty impressive in the meetings

Mike Mayock on Ray/Gregory: I think we have a good chance to see the both of them fall out of the 1st round. Just a dumb decision by Shane.

As dumb as these two are, if the Steelers are comfortable enough after their meetings with them, I'd grab one of these guys in the first. I'd even grab one in the first, one in the second, and then spend the rest of the draft working on the secondary.
      1. OLB Randy Gregory
      2. OLB Shane Ray
      3. CB Alex Carter
      4. FS Derron Smith
      5. CB Charles Gaines
      6. WR Josh Harper
      6c. TE Nick Boyle
      7. RB John Crockett
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

You could really just stop right there. If the draft went down like that, it's all gravy from that point.

Gaines was ranked higher earlier in the process, but after further review he is hot garbage

Will the Steelers actually take him now IF he drops to them, despite this incident now that happened yesterday? It's been rumored that he is already heading into the Substance Abuse program..and he isn't drafted, yet.

yes, Ray is automatically entered into Phase 1 and hasn't played a down yet...

What I think happened with you is that you might be in the Tomlin fanclub and my post rubbed you the wrong way...when in fact I include Cowher and the Steelers organization when talking about how they don't care about character. I am not for drafting players with character issues. However, starting with Ben (under BC) and now through Tomlin...the teams seems to look the other way with character issues. All I was saying is let's not pretend we care about character when our recent history shows we really don't. So take the best player on the board and coach him up. I hear a lot of talk here and elsewhere that you just can't take the chance blah blah blah and these same people defend Bell and Ben so it's hypocritical.

No, that isn't what happened. But, your explanation provided some clarification to the thoughts you expressed, which were in dire need of said clarification.

I don't care if you like, don't like, love, hate, etc., Tomlin or the Steelers. But, if you post on a public forum, I will also offer my opinion.

Now, I understand what you were trying to say. Thank you.
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Well WE dont care, why the hell would we care? I was more saying Tomlin has met with both and for what it is worth Ray is probably the more impressive in person.

Nothing to do with their on field ability, but Ive heard Gregory is kind of a dick. All hearsay though

                            I don't think I would want both.

Spending your two premium picks on two different players with the same against the rules habit?

                            Ugh...

Neither do I, but I am pretty sure everyone has taken my comment out of context so far lol

I am saying the front office looking at both these players as a premium talent, at the same position, with a similar grade, and one character flag risk with the same substance maybe it comes down to who you like better and who you think its the harder worker, more dedicated on and off the field and I believe that to be ray. He plays harder than gregory. Hes both high effort with an outstanding pass rush skill set.

Again, this is why i say "for what its worth" and "all hearsay" lol
