I would like to see James Harrison and Roger Goodell re-enact that scene out of Pulp Fiction...you know the one with the heavy hitters

SteelByDesign: Jarvis Jones: over/under 7.5 sacks in 2015?

Ray Fittipaldo: That's a good number. I'll guess under.

I think 7.5 is probably about right. Unfortunately we need about 12 or more out of one of our OLB positions

it would be if Jarvis Jones played well against the run and James Harrison added a few more sacks of his own to that total...

If Jarvis and Deebo split snaps essentially 50-50 on the weak side and Moats and Dupree split snaps essentially 50-50 on the strong side, and all four of them end up with 7.5 sacks, I'll certainly be happy with 30 sacks from my OLB's.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

If jarvis splits snaps 50/50 with a 37 year old james harrison, i still say thats a problem

I think that is setting the bar pretty low for a mid 1st rounder in his 3rd season

That is the point I have been making. We are going into Jones' third season and we are still making excuses and hoping to see something. Going into his third season, member of the board were wanting to burn Worilds (2nd Round pick) at the stake. BTW, don't forget that Worilds also had a serious wrist injury but it didn't seem to buy him excuses.

The fact we are talking about needing Harrison to get more than average productoion out of the ROLB position isn't an endorsement of Jones.

If James Harrison (69.5 career sacks) gets 7.5 sacks this year, he ties Jason Gildon (77 career sacks) for the record as the Steelers All-Time Sack Leader. I think Deebo will do everything in his power to get 8 sacks this year to get the record all to himself (he's already doing half ton leg presses). I don't think that necessarily says anything good or bad about Jarvis Jones.

Exactly. Its a great problem to have as well. Harrison isn't going to be around forever.

Porter said that they want to try to limit Harrison to 20-25 snaps per game, which would give Jones 2/3 of the snaps. This is obviously a huge year for Jarvis Jones, but I haven't seen that they are planning a 50-50 split.

There are worse things in the world than rotating pass rushers.

Especially when the vet is named Jimmy Hate and didn't see the football field until he was 27 or 28. I know he is 37 but he doesn't look or play like an old vet.
