I should have said he is in the perfect position to leave for the NFL.

He only had a chance to play in 3 games and they were the biggest 3 games of the season and he performed well in all of them....

Still....think of every non senior QB that declared for the draft. How many are successful? Roethlisberger?

Russell wilson won his starting job as a rookie as a 5 year collegiate starter, mark sanchez flamed out after starting one season....i can only think of one RS soph QB and that is manziel (and now winston)

No way hes ready for the pros unless they really reallllllllly take it slow with him which in this knee jerk reaction version of the NFL isnt very likely. Financially it makes sense for him to ride this momentum, but he should probably transfer

I have no idea what this guys background is but I was amazed at how well he spoke after the game. Dude sounded like he goes to class.

Maybe it's a North vs South thing but when Winston spoke I had no idea what the hell he was saying. Same with Jamarcus Russell. I never understood a word that came out of his mouth while he was in college.

I can't lie tho... I live down south and still don't understand half the things people say in casual conversation.

If he transfers he has to sit out a year. He isn't going to do that. He isn't ready for the pro's but I'm not sure he is ready to sit the bench behind a QB or 2.

Urban Meyer will be honest with him and let him know that he should leave because there isn't anywhere to go but down on a college bench.

He is at the height of popularity. I bet he would jump from the 5th to the 2nd round just based off of size and arm strength.

He once was quoted as "Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we aint come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS"

lol if he ever gave a **** about school he might have the opportunity to go in the graduate transfer program.

If he went in round 2 i would be amazed, someone lost their mind or is completely desperate.

sounds like the typical college athlete to me.

Again...for those who seem to be reading challenged...I do not say this based on Jones' physical skills. Those are off the charts NFL caliber.

Jones is a poor man's Byron Leftwich at best. Jones and Leftwich even look alike.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

One of my relatives talks to Braxton Miller's dad fairly often. He's saying that Braxton won't be able to play QB going forward. That's one less guy for Jones to sit behind.

                              Black, 6-5, with big cheeks?

Leftwich dreams he could run like that, he also had a god awful wind up

He has to show he has matured a lot since that whole twitter gaffe. I know he's only "a kid", but I sincerely doubt it is much better. Especially now, when everyone is fawning over him. People overlook mental maturity so much too, but it is almost as important as physical maturity. You just can't become mature. It takes concerted effort and growth.

It reminds me of Mike Adams, driving to Steelers offices (and everyone here) giving him the benefit of the doubt. Neverminding the fact that this mental moron smoked weed when he knew he would be under scrutiny at the Combine. It shows lack of judgement (mental maturity), and lack of will-power and acting like an adult and a professional.

It's the same with this kid. I wouldn't take him in Round 1 or 2, like I wouldn't touch Jameis Winston at either point. Immaturity (for both) is severly lacking.
I wasn't hired for my disposition.
