Bell had 11 for 36. Not exactly a shining moment. The whole O sucked balls last week. Not sure I'd blame Blount for last week's O-line F grade.

I like the V. Williams comparison earlier in this thread. He clearly got pushed out by a rookie but he didn't complain too much, worked hard and is now getting some playing time.

Also think we need to wait until more is known. Without all the facts its impossible to say he has to be cut immediately. It certainly could be that he's a lost cause (4 teams in 5 years or something like that) but maybe not.

I mentioned the the Vets stepping in earlier but this is also the perfect opportunity for Leadership (Tomlin, Haley, Saxon) to make the hard decisions if needed or determine if some tough love can correct this situation. It's what they are paid to do - review all the facts and make the best decision for the team overall.

Certainly keeps things interesting going into the off week!

I would be frustrated if I was Blount but looking at the numbers I can also see why Bell didn't come out.

If I was a big RB and I finally saw the OL opening up big holes I would want a part of it.. especially if it's 10 degrees.
I thought Blount was supposed to be this powerful North-South runner? Surely he could have gained some positive yardage against the Jets by creating his own holes.

If this was a running league, Bell would have been a number one draft pick because he is that good. Blount needed to consider all things when he was brought to this team. Everyone knew he wasn't going to be our star running back, wonder why he thought any differently ?

Bring Mendenhall back! (See, e.g., Harrison and Kiesel situations).

did you watch the pregame when they showed how bad our OL was on the GL last week?

You can't blame Blount when the OL gets pushed back and lets 300 pound DT's run free up the middle.

Blount needs to understand it's a long season...

I doubt we cut him because we need a legit #2 RB in case Bell goes down.

If Blount wants to learn how a 250lb RB is supposed to run the football maybe he should consult with Pitt's James Connor since they share some of the same facilities.

What? Spoken by someone who obviously has never played the ultimate team game.....2000% disagree with you.

How can that guy possibly look Ben, Keisel, Harrison, or Polamalu in the eye any more....

Kick him the hell out of there.

Our OL has been pissing me off all year. When they decide that they want to pass-block Ben can throw for 500 yards then when they choose to run-block Bell gets 200yds. I hear lots of good things about Munchak but the OL is one of the most inconsistent components of a very inconsistent team.

I disagree. I think they've been playing quite well. You can't expect 5 guys to block 7 on a blitz. Last night, they were blocking lights out running the ball, and also some of the success came when they were utilizing Heath and/or the FB. Nice formations by Haley there.

Unless you want to keep seeing Roethlisberger shouting "COME ON, DRI" at Archer...we have to find someone else. Just like Broski said...what did Blount expect when he signed here? This is not a dual-back team (like Dallas was with Felix Jones and DeMarco Murray were)...he came in as a back up to Le'Veon Bell, enough said. Didn't think he was causing a disturbance and team mates are asking for him to be released. I really like Blount being here too.

Every RB smiles when they get touches and there is a hole to run through.
Yep, and when there not a hole to run through, or you dont touch the ball enough, you dont pout like a little girl and become a cancer.

If his teammates are upset with him to the point of wanting him released, then a fan's opinion doesn't count. We've got a problem no matter what the fans think. Randy Moss was so good he could get away with that crapola. Blount isn't.

For contrast, look at Vince Williams. He was upset when Shazier was drafted. It meant that he was automatically demoted. Did he sulk and quit? No, he has played harder and earned more snaps.

I understand the concept people are trying to say about Vince Williams...getting demoted when Shazier got drafted and using that as motivation. However...do you guys realize why he is getting more playing time? Shazier has been injured and out, that's why Williams has been getting playing time now.
