He quit on the team and walked off the field. I'd tell him to keep on walking...

because it's the bye week and we need something to talk about.

we should also change the uni's and get some cheerleaders.

I honestly have no idea why we would need to change the offense

Feltdizz: It's apparently not just last night. So it's not so much "exactly when he left the field"; it's a culmination of events over a longer time.

When you have a player that is creating a big enough problem in the locker room that other players are beginning to comment on it, thats a huge problem. Tomlin has a chance to make a statement here, and its one he desperately needs to make. WE DONT NEED BLOUNT. We dont. New England replaced this guy with Jonas Gray and look what hes doing. If theres one thing we have seen over the past two years its that average running backs come a dime a dozen. Brandon Oliver, Knile Davis, Jonas Gray, Jeremy Hill, Jerrick Mckinnon, Matt Asiata, all of these guys stepped in and played well when called upon. Bring in Alvester Alexander, and sign another back of the wire. Then give Bell 90% of the carries. Blount needs the Steelers alot more than the Steelers need Blount.

I need more info before I get in a frenzy.

              Gotta hear both sides...

I'm not going to jump the gun due to one report.

Jonas Gray just started getting touches 3 or 4 weeks ago.

Cut him, pull the best guy you find off of someone's practice squad. They don't need knuckleheads like this on the team with so many young players around.

And he has done as good or better than Blount with those touches. And he has done so with a smile on his face.

Maybe he'd get the ball more if he didn't run backwards and lose 8 yards on 2nd and Goal from the 1.

I can't help feel this is an insult or tension he has placed between him and Bell also. Be happy for your teammate that is having a heck of a game. I don't know if the guy is a headcase for the team or among the players. This is all internal stuff that we know nothing about. At this point it's all about what is best for the team, keeping him or telling him to pack his bags. What is the lesser of the evils at this point ? Say if they do keep him, what should be his punishment ? Sit him out a game ? Allow him to dress just in case Bell does go down ? Tough call all the way around. No matter what happens, he brought this on himself. Personally, if it's only rumors that he is a distraction or rumors then I say keep him because I see value in him.

ehh... Blount averaged 5 yards a pop and had 7 TD's in NE.

With a smile on his face? Like this?

Every RB smiles when they get touches and there is a hole to run through.

I would be ticked if I was him seeing butterfingers Dri Archer in there over him.

Blount had 5 carries for 0 yards against the Jets last week and now this week he has the audacity to expect more carries and playing time? Just STFU please.

the Jets defense was in our backfield more than Blount or Bell last week.

I would be frustrated if I was Blount but looking at the numbers I can also see why Bell didn't come out.

If I was a big RB and I finally saw the OL opening up big holes I would want a part of it.. especially if it's 10 degrees.
