My friend said this was a bad mood bringing him to the team and I didn't believe him. Oh well, I believe the coach has some thinking to do... The easy solution would be to release him but, whom do you replace him with ?

Not arguing with anyone but who do you bring in to replace him? There's NO second RB on this team. I guess you could bring up the undrafted kid from Wake Forrest from the PS (Harris) and work him over the next 2 weeks to get up to speed. I have no idea if there's an NFL caliber RB sitting out there on another teams PS you could bring over and spend 2 weeks working with to prepare.

The quick reaction is cut him but there has to be a plan. They'd be 1 hit away from having to pass on every single down.

Blount is not the hammer he is always hyped up to be. With Bell running like a mad man and Blount making a huge mistake last week taking a big loss it makes sense, even if it was his former team.

We signed him and i liked the signing, but hes not a super powerful runner hes a 250 pound scat back. A good player, a good compliment, but a compliment to the stud we have

I've been concerned about his influence on Bell ever since the pre-season weed bust.

Cheech may be better off without Chong.

Problem is, if you keep him just because you need a second back ( which I agree is important), how can you know what you've got? Will you still have a sulker and a cancer or will he suddenly become a happy team player? And at a minimum he has to apologize to the team and be willing to be disciplined. How will the other players react? Some already were wanting him gone.

200 yards and Blount is a bad influence?

              I say keep him.

If they release him (personally, I hope that isn't the case for now) they would probably have to completely change the offense and go with a fullback, tailback, TE and two WRs. If you're going to try something like that this is the week to do it. You cut him today and start installing the new offense for the Saints. Otherwise, I think you have to live with it and let the players handle it internally, unless, it gets out of control.

Sorry guys, but I don't have a problem with a player who is upset he wasn't committed to the battle. I'd be more upset with a player who didn't care. Blount is an important part of this team and if Bell gets hurt we will need him desperately because we have no other back up option at RB.

                    exactly...

the day a skill position guy is content with not getting in the game is the day I want him gone...

I don't think this is a big deal.

Except for the fact that he quit on the team. That's something teammate aren't quick to forgive. Being frustrated is one thing, but walking away during the game is bordering on the unforgivable.

And if he's not practicing/preparing properly, and trying to keep Bell from practicing/preparing properly, I can see how that would be a problem.

If his other teammates want him gone, there must be some reason.

It's OK to be upset. It's not OK to leave the field before the game is over, shower and get on the bus. If his teammates are upset with him to the point of wanting him released, then a fan's opinion doesn't count. We've got a problem no matter what the fans think. Randy Moss was so good he could get away with that crapola. Blount isn't.

For contrast, look at Vince Williams. He was upset when Shazier was drafted. It meant that he was automatically demoted. Did he sulk and quit? No, he has played harder and earned more snaps.

I also would like to see WHEN he left the game. If he left with a minute left when we were taking a knee then this is nothing more than the typical Steeler newspaper fabricated drama to get us through the bye week.

yeah everyone wanted to release bell before the season too like a bunch of irrational lunatics.

Blount is not marshawn lynch in the locker room, who refuses to act even a little like a sane person
