Santonio Holmes cut by Bears today

What the hell, bring him back like everyone else who made a play in Super Bowl 43.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

I thought he was doing good in Chicago ? Guess not. Someone will pick him up. I wish Ben or Harrison would have gotten MVP in the Super Bowl.

Holmes had 8 catches on the season which is actually 5 more than Darrius Heyward-Bey currently has.

I would rather see Moore or Brown over Darrius

I didnt know he was in Chi either. He acted rather moronic with the Steelers and Jets so I kind of forgot about him.
WE DONT NEED HIM IN PITTSBURGH INFLUENCING OUR RBS!

Don't you guys see this as a "we have to fire someone" after two blow outs? I betcha he still doesn't have the best team attitude. They cut him to TRY to make an example, but I say it's too little, too late. Cutler is a major part of the problem.

From whom would Santonio take playing time?
Actually, my post was NOT about you...but, if the shoe fits, feel free to lace that &!+€# up and wear it.

Bears say “see ya” to Santonio

He arrived amid high hopes. Those hopes have not translated to production.

And so the Bears have moved on from Super Bowl XLIII MVP Santonio Holmes.

Despite appearing in nine games and starting twice, Holmes caught only eight passes for 67 yards. It’s possible, based on his history, that he had become a pain in the posterior for the coaching staff and/or teammates.

That said, there was no visible evidence of any problems; with the Jets in 2011, it was obvious that Holmes had become a malcontent and a bad teammate.

He’ll be subject to waivers. If unclaimed, he’ll become a free agent.

Holmes might be an upgrade from Heyward-Bey in terms of talent but probably a major downgrade in terms of character.
