Don't you guys see this as a "we have to fire someone" after two blow outs? I betcha he still doesn't have the best team attitude. They cut him to TRY to make an example, but I say it's too little, too late. Cutler is a major part of the problem.Comment

Bears say “see ya” to Santonio
Posted by Mike Florio on November 11, 2014
He arrived amid high hopes. Those hopes have not translated to production.
And so the Bears have moved on from Super Bowl XLIII MVP Santonio Holmes.
Despite appearing in nine games and starting twice, Holmes caught only eight passes for 67 yards. It’s possible, based on his history, that he had become a pain in the posterior for the coaching staff and/or teammates.
That said, there was no visible evidence of any problems; with the Jets in 2011, it was obvious that Holmes had become a malcontent and a bad teammate.
He’ll be subject to waivers. If unclaimed, he’ll become a free agent.

Holmes might be an upgrade from Heyward-Bey in terms of talent but probably a major downgrade in terms of character.Comment
