    What Happened to Jason Worilds

After 4 games, he has 1 sack, no forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, 5 solo tackles and 4 assists. Easy math with this being a quarter of the way through the season - he is on pace for a meager 4 sacks. He's been invisible as a pass rusher and was a big part of the run defense getting gashed early this season.

The Steelers are paying him premium money and getting zero production. Worilds is far from the only culprit on the defense, but any defense needs a pass rush to succeed, and Worilds is not providing it.

Thank God we didn't panic and pay him like we did Allen.

Maybe we'll know a little more about Tuitt, McCullers, Richardson, and Shamarko before their contract years.

      But I doubt it.

Get the Franchise...... then prove no one else wants you, then come back at Minimum

I hope Worilds invests this years cash very wisely.

He had 5 sacks last year where he was unblocked. He is playing no differently this year, he is just getting blocked. Several of us posters brought this up last year and during the offseason.

At this pace that will be $2.25 million per sack. Money well sent...

Seriously, thank goodness we didn't sign this bum to a long term deal.

The Steelers made the right move here. It was expensive in the short term, but it's going to end up being a lot cheaper in the long run. The only problem with letting Worilds walk is we are already thin at OLB, especially with the jury still out on JJ (I think he's going to be fine, but there are legit reasons to wonder). But, we could also use the $9+ million we are paying Worilds this year to find a replacement, too.

It's still fairly early, but it looks like Worilds just isn't an impact player.

I was in JW corner but not any more. Look like he gambled and lost, no team is going to pay him money that the Steelers offered. That was his last chance at a fat contract. But Dumbtezz rolled the right dice because he's raping the Steelers with no Vaseline.

The Steelers are getting Sandusky'd by Cortez as we speak.

I hope people remember this next time they want to put someone in the HOF after a few good games. Same goes for Heyward. At least Heyward makes a few splash plays here and there. But he gets blown off the ball alot. Worlids has been non-existent.

What happened is that stats can lie. He was never as good as his late season numbers suggested.

Who is Jason Worilds? Does he play for the Steelers?

I never hear his name called....
