The Seahawks D has been developed with mid round picks...developed...as in talent development. What have the Steelers done with their mid rounders?

Wouldn't coaches on the defense be the ones developing that talent or is it the fault of Pete Carroll and the GM? I also bet they run the defense that best suits their talents instead of engraving one in stone a decade ago and doing that hell or high water.

No. Pete is not particularly innovative. He's using defensive principles he learned from Monte Kiffin and George Seifert. They've just been fortunate to draft players that fit their scheme and also fortunate to have low expectations...

I have been running that same base defense since 1977 when I learned it from (Monte Kifffin). I have used variations of this defense my entire career. I have stayed with its principles through all my years of coaching. I have a real strong belief in this defense.

He apparently isn't able to get his amazing defense to adjust to covering a past-his-prime tight end. His Seahawks are now 1-1, the same as the lowly Steelers. Fire him!
