Ummm, they are a better defense with elite level defensive talent in their prime?
Maybe......just maybe, that makes it harder to erase a large deficit?
        Is that somehow rocket science?

BTW the Seahawks had 4th quarter leads in EVERY SINGLE ONE of their losses last year.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

        TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

The Seahawks D has been developed with mid round picks...developed...as in talent development. What have the Steelers done with their mid rounders?
          Trolls are people too.

Wouldn't coaches on the defense be the ones developing that talent or is it the fault of Pete Carroll and the GM? I also bet they run the defense that best suits their talents instead of engraving one in stone a decade ago and doing that hell or high water.

The quality of your behavior on this board is contrary to the important and necessary characteristics to manage people.

No. Pete is not particularly innovative. He's using defensive principles he learned from Monte Kiffin and George Seifert. They've just been fortunate to draft players that fit their scheme and also fortunate to have low expectations...

                      Well:

Seattle - 2 SB appearances, just won their first Lombardi.

Pittsburgh - 8 SB appearances, won 6 Lombardis, more than any other team...legacy of unequalled greatness from the 70s that is virtually impossible to live up to...

So if we would all just lower our expectations, the Steelers would play better?

What? No response on how Carroll doesn't stick to his defensive scheme?

He apparently isn't able to get his amazing defense to adjust to covering a past-his-prime tight end. His Seahawks are now 1-1, the same as the lowly Steelers. Fire him!
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

He is just pounding that square peg into a round hole!

Now, every past-his-prime TE will be looking at a big day vs Carroll's D....
