A JJ supporter who must admit concern

Mark Madden and Kaboly. What an all-star lineup that is. Out of this list, McClendon is my biggest worry. He's not a starting 3-4 NT. It's that simple. I'm also concerned that just like last year, teams can run right down our throat.. particularly on the left side of the defense... the same side that Worilds is on. Moving Heyward over to that side should help out the situation.I'm going to say this then stay out of the discussion, first off I am from Georgia and I don't care for college football but believe me I work with hundreds of Bulldog fans. And I asked them all what they think about JJ and most of them liked him but most if not all of them said that he needs to get stronger for the NFL. NOW ON TO WHAT WAS DISCUSSED TODAY ON Black N GOLD radio. They had different host and guest on different segments including David Todd, Mark Madden , Stan Savaran was the host asking different guest including Mark WILLIAMSON NFL scout, Mark Kaboly covers the Steelers and one other name that I forget and the question kept coming up about who are the players that most concern them. Which was McClendon, JJ , Cortez and Mike M. And the only two that was not defended by not one of the guest was Mitchel and JJ . So it seems to me that their are plenty that are concerned by JJ play.Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.Comment

yup, I'm sure the Steelers coaching staff noticed that fact and why Keisel was ultimately re-signed...Comment

Really, is that the best you got? Listen, we all know you can't joke around or have a good time because you are insecure...but maybe if you lighten up a bit you could get along a little better with the members here. It might even be possible for you to be a quality member instead of engaging in daily douchebaggery.Trolls are people too.Comment

That's because they are not paying attention. I refuse to believe another person's analysis until I see a player with my own eyes. I watch JJ. Could he play stronger? Sure. But, much of the bull rush isn't shear power, it's about knowing when to use power. What I mean is it's a timing thing, knowing when to put hands on the OLman at a point of imbalance. If you watch JJ, you will see times where displays the ability to collapse the pocket. Others where he is stone walled. Did he get weaker or stronger between plays? No, it's because he timed up an OLman and was able to catch him off balance. Much of that is set up with a variety of pass rush moves. It's why Worilds has improved dramatically. I have little doubt that JJ will bloom into a terrific OLB for us. I see more than flashes of very good ability. He needs more moves, strength, and experience all of which will improve his consistency.I'm going to say this then stay out of the discussion, first off I am from Georgia and I don't care for college football but believe me I work with hundreds of Bulldog fans. ..and the OT's get paid top dollar to counter everything JJ tries to do and sometimes they will get the best of him. That's because they are not paying attention. And Ertz will be better... as I called last year.... and coulda been had with a trade down (went early second)... just sayinEifert probably can't play OLB, but pretty certain he is grading out higher as a TE in the NFL than Jones is as an OLB.
Still not sure however why you continually want to spin this into a mock draft debate and refuse to focus on the performance of Jones on the field. Nevermind, given what he has done I do understand your need for a stalking horse.2013 MNF Executive Champion!Comment

Every single time I have seen him attempt a bull rush he gets stone walled, like a BB bouncing off the Queen Mary. So, your theory is rubbish. You say, "he needs to get stronger" well, WTF has he been doing for 2 years? Seemingly nothing. When will he "get around" to getting stronger? Next year? 2 years? This is the 3-4; if your OLB are fail at rushing the QB, then you are doomed. Worilds seems to have _some_ pass rushing ability, but if JJ doesn't, this D is toast. From what I have been seeing, JJ is not any stronger than he was a year ago and that disappoints me. I assumed (and hoped) he would show up stronger and bigger. It didn't happen. That's because they are not paying attention. I refuse to believe another person's analysis until I see a player with my own eyes. I watch JJ. Could he play stronger? Sure. JJ should look more like Pat, but he never will. He obviously doesn't hit the weights enough.

I just post clips of him bull rushing Ferguson (pushing him backwards easily) and Thomas (putting him on his ass) but you still go with the dramatics of saying "every time"Every single time I have seen him attempt a bull rush he gets stone walled, like a BB bouncing off the Queen Mary.
