n KC, he took a crappy team with no offense, and in one year they were leading the league in rushing with an unknown Jamal Charles and virtually no passing game. Proving that in those two stops, you don't need one, to have the other.
    Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooold it.

The ONE YEAR the Chiefs did well was the year Charlie Weis was brought in to work with Matt Cassell.

Haley then drove Weis away because he was a douche sandwich and the Chiefs suddenly went back to being crap.

In Pittsburgh, Where we have a pretty damn good QB, and our talent is obviously with the WR and not the RB or offensive line, and you think it is HIS CHOICE to run it so much? I think the Rooney's meddling is the reason we have no offense. They dictate what 'type' of offense we have, and that is a running offense, regardless of the talent of our offensive line.

A short passing offense with the occasional deep shot would be FINE if Ben were in shotgun a lot, running a REAL no huddle/quick passing/up tempo offense a lot, with a single back set. Haley is being told to run it and that comes from the Rooney's. The guy was known for utilizing the talents of his players to devise an offensive scheme and did it at every stop. But he gets here, and suddenly he is a bumbling idiot. Don't think so.
This is a very good point you bring up.

I really hope Art realizes he needs to take a step back before the Steelers turn into the Cowboys or the Raiders.

Well... did you see what Boldin did in SF yesterday? I think the guy can make any QB look great due to his size.

KC had one good year and then Haley crapped the bed and was fired.

There isn't enough out there to have confidence in Haley IMO...

Even has-been Carson Palmer looked the best he's looked in years playing in Arians' offense. He didn't get garbage time stats like he usually does. He actually played a solid game in meaningful situations.

If Arians gets HIM into the playoffs? Art II might have a grabber.

Arians was villified for not being a traditional Steelers OC- no reliance on pounding smash-mouth running games, more finesse, more big-play strikes than time consuming drives.

Ben was getting sacked under Arians, he's getting sacked under Haley.

Wallace was a superstar under Arians, a bum under Haley.

Mendenhall was the 6th best Steelers RB of all time under Arians, we can't generate a running game under Haley.

Now, to be fair, the OL under Haley has been in transition which no doubt makes things difficult, but it's not as if Arians was given an all-pro OL either.

2 different philosophies for the 2 OC's, but it doesn't seem the Steelers have bought into Haley's style yet.

But for all this, Chadman still suspects that the problem doesn't come from Haley, but from the way the popular Arians was removed from the organisation. What was a tight-knit, well functioning team suddenly became a mob of unruley pouters that weren't performing up to their best.
The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

              Light up the darkness.

You aren't that far off. Crash here has been told things that if true? The last 17 games is just the tip of the iceberg.

I don't think I would use the word "villified" to describe BA's ouster. Many were disappointed that given the Steelers level of talent on O they had trouble breaking into the top 10 on offense under his reign. It took an all-world defensive performance for the Steelers to get to the SB.

They don't get into the top 10 because once they have a lead late they don't try to score. They run the ball and play defense.

It's been this way for 10 years.

actually they don't get into the top 10 because once they get inside the 20 they don't try to score.
