Re: Monday Night Football Exec. - 2011

          Week 1

          NBC - 70
          ESPN - 60
          NeClams - 50
          AngryAsian - 50
          Strlz D - 50
          Papillion - 50
          Jooser - 50
          Chavezz - 50
          Pfelix73 - 20
          Dsmith - 20
          WVSteeler - 20
          NottinghamForest UK - 20
          Fordfixer - 20
          Ghost - 20
          IronShiek - 20
          Ruthlessburgher - 20
          Steelgal -20
          Starlifter - 20
          Flippy - 20
          Falconfan - 0
          Chadman - 0
          MeetJoeGreene - 0
          Lonbull - 0

For the Networks (ESPN & NBC) the season begins with a bang - as NBC (along with Papillion, Jooser, Chavezz, NeClams, AngryAsian, and Strlz D) enjoyed the weekly high score of 50 points.....which is a very solid score for the first weeks of action.

Dallas v Jets provided it's audience with last minute heroics (or meltdown - depending on your point of view) as the Jets stole a victory in the final seconds of the game with a Field Goal.

The other big score took advantage of one of the rookie bonuses - as Cam Newton was more than capable of picking up either a throwing TD or a rushing TD....in fact he did both!!

One bonus that was left on the table in this season's MNF Exec. was the Andy "Danger" Dalton bonus....as he lead his bruising Bengals to victory (despite the fact that he left the game early) past the Cleveland Browns.....I know a number of us at the bottom of the list could have used those points!

Speaking of which - it was an honor to sit with last year's MNF Exec. Champion Falconfans....problem was we were sitting together in the GOOSE Egg Lounge!! However I'm not concerned, it's a long season and anyone who's won this puppy will tell you it isn't how you begin it's how you finish.....(problem is I've never really finished well in this cursed game either!! ).

As a reminder both NBC and ESPN enjoyed two games apiece this weekend - so their leading score, shouldn't be.....well, misleading?!? Here's a look at next week!

As is tradition - your leader is in RED!

          Week 2

Philadelphia vs Atlanta – NBC, Falconfan, AngryAsian, Ghost, IronShiek, Ruthlessburgher, Starlifter, WVSteeler, NottinghamForest UK, Flippy

Kansas City vs Detroit – Papillion, Fordfixer
Chicago vs New Orleans – MeetJoeGreene, Chavezz

Ugh - talk about a direct blow to both beanbags - Not only do I pick the Steelers/Ravens expecting a good game, the game was so poorly played by the Steelers that I ended up getting points. Not sure I even want them this week...

The Saints/Pack game was interesting until the end even though the MNF Exec score didn't reflect that.

1 yard from tying the score on the last play. Mark Ingram going for his first TD. There was loads of drama down to the wire.

Yep. Would have been 100+ point game if Ingram gets that in.

Week 2 closes out and we find A.A. and Big Pappi making a run for the early lead as they pass up the suits from ESPN who spent this past week in the Goose Egg Lounge.

However with 11 Execs. stalking at either 55 points or 45 points - and a full palate of games this week (10 total games being used) I suspect this week could see a number of shake-ups.

Speaking of being shaken up - Strlz D noticed that I gave him the incorrect score for his Week 1 game and I've since corrected it.....Strlz D goes from tied for 5th to tied for last....I will say this MNF Exec. is seemingly a game of karma so hopefully the "game" will make up for my mistake somehow, and reward Strlz D for his honesty......either that or it will just continue to make me (it's creator) it's B*tch for my mistake!!!

Thanks Strlz D - speaking of thank you, with 10 games coming up this week I always like to point out that Ghost helps do the scoring (in fact he's been razor sharp so far this season)....and I, as always, appreciate his help!

Looking ahead Big Pappi and A.A. will remain tied at the end of week 3 as they both have the same game....WVSteeler, NeClams and ESPN will all be looking for big scores that they can call their own (although I suspect NeClams was hoping the Bengals Bonus would still be available...but it's not).

As is tradition - your leader is in RED!

                        Week 3

Lions vs. Vikings – Ghost, Stlrz d
Texans vs. Saints – Lonbull, Dsmith, Starlifter, Pfelix73

Holy crap... Need to keep this lead thing going because there are plenty of vultures ready to pounce and usurp the lead... hoping to cash in on the extra Julio Jones pointage this week... good luck to all.
