MNF Exec provided a little instant karma this past week - as Stlrz D (who pointed out a needed correction in scoring that moved him from the top of the board to the bottom) enjoyed a huge Lions comeback that put 75 points on the board for him!?!! Sometimes the Gods just have to set things right.
Of course Stlrz D wasn't the only Exec. who enjoyed that game - former champion and the always competitive Ghost also leap frogged the bulk of the board with the weekly high score. Ghost was the first person to enter the Hall of Champions however he's never been unable to repeat his success.....is he the Peyton Manning of MNF Exec???
(Yeah, Yeah...I've never defeated you at my own game...I expect to get slapped around for the Manning comment).
Moving on - those of us who enjoyed the Saints Comeback this week (Lonbull, Dsmith, Starlifter, Pfelix73 )- not only took home a rookie bonus (Mark Ingram) we also enjoyed a very odd moment where the NFL scratched points off the board and took it from a 10 point game (which doesn't provide any points in MNF Exec) to a 7 point game....that gave all of us an additional 15 points......having been the bottom feeder for the first few weeks....I'll take it!
Looking ahead 12 Executives (including the top three leaders) will all share the Sunday night Jets v. Baltimore match-up - Big Pappi and Starlifter will be hoping to score big and move to the top of the board with the Steelers and Texans.....as a reminder Week 4 is the last week without "Record Bonuses".....we'll really start to get an idea of how well people forecast the 2011 season then.....how many people foresaw Buffalo???
As is tradition - your leader is in RED!

Every year there seems to be one team that provides incredible MNF Exec. games - last year it may have been Houston - who kept losing in unusual ways at the last minute, the year before it was San Diego keeping games tight until the last second....and this year it appears to be the Detroit Lions.
In the past two games the Lions have twice come back from having been down by 17 points or more to win the game....which is a whopping 35 points in MNF Exec. - we'll see if their games continue to do well as the season rolls along.
Yours truly (Lonbull) was the only one with the Lions v Cowboys game last week which provided the weekly high score of 55 points.....could this be the year that the lovable losers take home the crown??? (I think I just called myself the "Lions" of MNF Exec...)
The most important jump this week may belong to Iron Shiek who benefited from a strong Bills v Bengals game to leap into a tie for third place....the Shiek won't be able to make any ground on Ghost this week because they share the same game - however that game (Jets v Patriots) comes with a bonus of 15 points at kickoff - as we've entered into the 5th week and begin counting the "record bonus".
The Bills v Bengals game also enabled MeetJoeGreene to bypass Chadman and Steelgal - there's been quite a bit of chatter coming from the bottom of the board - and one wonders what will be said now that the bottom has been shuffled.....and will anyone tempt the MNF Exec. karma by pointing out Chadman's game this week????
As we look ahead ESPN is hoping the Lions have another crazy finish on Monday Night - while a number of Execs are hoping to cash in the Julio Jones Rookie Bonus this week which would really shake things up.
Now that I have left Chadman and Steelgal hopelessly in the dust, staring at my boil-covered tucus, I have my sights aimed squarely on that clown of a poster!!
Am I the only one here excited by the prospect of a KC vs Indy clash this week?
Really?
Just me?
Yup, you're it, really! Both teams aren't doing so swell, so, even though the game may be a bore fest, it could garner you some points.
