I'm a sports bettor and i'm telling you all right now......JUMP on the STEELERS and especially in week 1 of the preseason. Most preseason spreads are no more then -3 and the steelers play at home. This first game will be a STATEMENT GAME and a needed win for the Organization. Letwich/Dixon will play the 1st half as they will need the reps and we dont run the risk of hurting our franchise QB so why not play them???? I mean really......This is a NO BRAINER lay it all on the line REDHOT FOR SURE LOCK in preseason........If the QB situation isnt enough to win you over then look at RB's who we are also trying to figure out.......DWYER will get a ton of playing time, REDMAN last years stud will as well. Also our WR's will also need the extra time as well......Our depth is ridiculous and we face the LIONS in the 1st preseason game............I can see NFL NETWORK NOW covering this 1st week of action..................BIG BEN WHO????? We need to get the focuse off of him and a strong week 1 preseason performance will do that......OUR BOYS ARE COMING TO WIN WEEK 1 of PRESEASON.........Mark it down and this guy right here will be placing $1,000 on the money line.

I'm backing up my prediction and if I win I'm going to VEGAS OCT 9th weekend with my avatar girl and that happens to be their BYEWEEK!!!!!!! LOL....perfect timing huh...hehe

    HERE WE GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Want insurance on the 1st preseason game look at the Lions back up QB's...LOL....no way they are playing their franchise QB more then 1-2 series. We have no choice but to play our QB's.
OK, I marked it down. Thats the whole point of this thread, thanx for participating

Jerry Jones head explodes while watching the Steelers win the Superbowl in his new stadium while Roger Goodell has a stroke as he hands Ben the MVP trophy.

      Book it.

Take your time, last call on preseason is up until the first preseason game. One prediction per person and it has to be verifiable in fact. (Stat or event, no opinions like 'so and so will be greatly improved') The more, the merrier, and bigger bragging rights for the winner.

20 grabs for 250 yards/game are some gaudy stats for the preseason :P If you like, you can save that idea for the regular season edition, predictions will open with the first preseason game.

Dwyer will earn a roster spot. Eye Sack Red Man will make the PS, at best.

Any pretense of QB being an open competition will be laid to rest, and Dixon will be demoted to 3rd string behind Batch, much to my chagrin, since I really like the kid and think he could use some real game time to help him develop. Experience trumps everything else with the FO, the irony being that several guys who could be getting valuable experience won't be.

Antonio Brown will lead the team in total return yards while taking two to the house! the answer we've all been waiting for. this puts logan on the ps and makes room for dwyer on the active list. brown takes the 5th wr spot.

I don't believe that Logan would be eligible for the practice squad after being on the active gameday roster for all 16 games last year.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

then the boy is gone entirely. thanks for playing.

does anyone else here think we could boast a running attack similar to Carolinas in terms of effectiveness?

i think mendy will have a breakout season, I would not be surprised if he passes 1500 yds rushing, I really think he is the real deal and has a chance to be a nfl rushing leader, i like his size, speed and quickness, if he could minimize the spin move than even better,
as for dwyer, who knows, i like what I hear but lets see it in games, if he is as solid as people are saying then i think old steeler football will be back, oh yea in addition to the troubled but best qb pittsburgh has ever seen (i love bradshaw but ben is better)

OK sentinel, you're in. BTW, you stated Brown would score 2 TDs so 0,1,or 3 TDs would be misses. It is a more definite prediction but can also be stated as 2 or more TDs if that was your intent.

Im not sure we will approach Carolinas ground attack this year, as much as i might like to see it. Our Oline still has to take another step up and, of course, Dwyer remains an unproven rookie. If Pouncey and Urbik become members of the starting 5, as I predicted, we could come together as the beginnings to something special before the end of the season.
