The Pittsburgh Steelers know they need to lock up wide receiver Mike Wallace to a long-term deal, but it’s going to take some time as they continue to try to get something done, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Wallace wants to get the same type of money that the other top receivers in the NFL have received, so it’s going to take some time for both sides to come to an agreement.
I believe in the end both the Steelers and Wallace will make something happen, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Wallace’s holdout goes deep into training camp.
