PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Steelers linebacker and third-round draft choice Sean Spence joined Seibel, Starkey and Miller on Sportsradio 93-7 The FAN to talk about his draft day experience and his excitement that he’s now a Pittsburgh Steeler.
Spence will be wearing James Farrior’s old number 51, and told us what an honor it is to have his number. Sean also told us what it is he does best on the field, and what will make him a great fit for the Steelers Dick LeBeau defense.
Spence talked about the health issues associated with playing football given the recent Junior Seau suicide and what he thinks about his own future watching the lives of former players unfold.
We wrapped things up with Spence getting his thoughts on playing alongside guys like James Harrison and LaMarr Woodley, and what it will be like carrying their pads at training camp as part of his rookie duties.
