Kevin Acee is reporting that Mike Tolbert is unlikely to resign in San Diego. He is asking for more then what the Chargers are willing to pay. Acee gives two landing spots for Tolbert. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Carolina Panthers. He lists the Steelers as the favorite to sign Tolbert.
If Tolbert is not willing to play for what the Chargers are willing to pay him I am not sure how the Steelers will afford him. If the Steelers do acquire Tolbert they will most likely have to cut Rashard Mendenhall to cover the cost. The Steelers have been rumored around a few running backs this offseason. That most likely means they have no expectation that Mendenhall will return to the field this year.
