    Give Hampton Credit

I know we all talk about how Hines Ward is a rare commodity given he is very likely to both start and finish his career with the Steelers.

But how about Hampton? The Steelers don't give many extensions to players over 30. Hampton has been productive throughout his career and has been a team player. And it's likely that Hampton, like Ward is going to start and end his career with the Black 'N Gold. Hampton could have held out or waited until the Wilfork signing to try to get more money but he didn't. Or he could have signed a likely monsterous deal with someone else given next years no-cap situation and still would have been signed by someone else the following year.

I know sometimes Hampton doesn't necessarily "say" the right things (i.e. the franchise tag statement) or "do" the right things (i.e. the training camp overweight issues) but he always comes to play and has anchored a VERY successful 3-4 defense for close to a decade.
Tomlin: Let's unleash hell and "mop the floor" with the competition.

you are absolutely correct, actions speak louder than words and Casey just proved that he is a "true" Steeler!

    I give him props...

I can't stand the hate that was directed at Hampton like he hasn't been an anchor for us.

I love the band of idiots screaming about a Pro Bowl NT coming in overweight!!! Gasp, the horror!!!

Now that he's a Steeler for life, those that were so quick to cast him aside have gone a bit quiet.

The people that are trying to make the world worse never take a day off, why should I?

        Light up the darkness.

to me, this says it all about what Casey has meant to the Steelers - very impressive!

When Hampton Is In, Steelers Are Solid

Casey Hampton has played in at least 13 games each season since 2005, anchoring a Steelers defensive line that has been one of the best at stopping the run.

most kept going back to his weight issue that one year... like a NT is supposed to be lean and athletic...

Yeah but he is a fat slob, has conditioning issues and is only a 2 down NT.

He does look better with his shirt off...

                ...than Mount Cody does.

Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

                  That is disgusting....

Cody just looks like a flat out mess..... physically and even mentally... in that picture, he doesn't look like he knows where he is or even what planet he's on.

He doesn't need to know what planet he's on, because he is a planet himself. He has his own gravitional pull. Skinny ol' wideouts naturally orbit around him.
