    Ben Not Elite

Ben is not elite with the way he's playing.

    1) Poor decision making

    2) Poor Throws

    3) Turnovers

Elite QB's don't play this bad for this long. They turn things around.

Oh shut up. No quarterback is perfect in every game. This is not just Ben's fault, either - our whole offense is to blame for this one.

Take a stroll through past games of Brady and Manning...you'll see clunkers for them too.

This loss is on more than just Ben's play today.

The whole team looked flat and mostly disinterested. The whole team.

Should they cut their losses now?

Ben didn't have a good game today. He missed some throws (Holmes in the EZ, Miller in the flat, etc.)

But to say he isn't elite? How about the 4 play, 80 yd drive last week? Every qb has a bad game, and every qb loses games. Suggesting that he isn't elite because he didn't do well against a good D coming off a short week is a bit of an overreaction.

The passes to both Holmes and Miller were catchable.

Holmes looked as though he didn't extend his arms and Miller's went right through his hands.

Miller rarely misses though so I am not gonna be too upset with him. It's bound to happen.

He's fine. He was just a little off. If just a couple of plays went different, this woulda been a different game.

                          Re: Ben Not Elite

Benny needs to get stretched out of his comfort zone at some point. He might have the OC he wants and the OL he wants. But, if he is only going to be good under the circumstances, then someone needs to be held responsible for the direction of the offense.

We have all had issues with Arians before. As far as I'm concerned, he's directly responsible for all three losses so far. Where has the no-huddle been? It works every time and, basically, as often as they want to use it. Where was it today? How about Ben's inconsistency in getting the ball to his receivers. Perhaps he's working too fast because he knows the OL can't hold the pose on their scheme long enough. That happens. Problem is, the frequency with which it's happening to Ben is becoming less and less acceptable with every loss.

Champions make plays that create victory. Ben is not doing that with any consistency. OK, so Ben has done it twice in his career to this point. Will he be able to do it again? Ever? Under the same conditions he has now?

The Steelers need to address this, especially if the current labor agreement is modified from where it is now. It will not be a good thing if the working relationship between Arians and Ben stays the same but the results never again match previous outcomes. Right now, the Steelers are an uninspired football team and their opponents know this and are ready to take them to the mat.

What are you talking about? I said it before and I'll say it again, 6 Nights ago, on THE national stage, the Steelers stomped the Broncos in Denver, and everyone was anointing the Steelers as "the best in the league" with an offense every bit as impressive as their defense. Now after a 6 pt loss to a 7-1 team, other teams know that the Steelers are uninspired and ripe for the picking??? Seriously?

Ben has only made plays that create victory twice in his career? Huh? And you're doubting if he'll ever be able to make them again?
