    I watched B. Davis closely in the Panthers game because I think everyone knew he was on the bubble.
    He was not very good. Took some bad angles to the tackle and totally wiffed on others. When you see someone like K. Fox playing then B. Davis the contrast was stark. Given this was Year 2 for him, it was bound to be the deathknell. Oh well, glad Tomlin & Co have the kahunas to admit it and move on.....not sure Cowher would have done the same.

      I scratched my head when they drafted Davis also. I felt it was a reach and that we needed someone on the OL rather than another tweener.

        I was really interested in two players: Logan and Redman. I'll admit I'm going
        more on instinct than anything else, but I'm bummed to see Redman cut; I think it's a mistake. I hope I'm wrong, but I still have a bad feeling about Mendenhall...

          That is the risk of the 3-4. You take a risk on highly productive DEs and try to reinvent them. I think this fails more than succeeds and I think it is probably more difficult with the complexity of the Steelers defense.
