it was just a 17 yard punt return, but every time he touches the ball he looks like he's goin to the house.

he's got a heck of a burst the other returners just don't have.

Well, put it this way...if he doesn't make our roster, he WILL play in the NFL this season for some team. Don't believe for one minute another GM has not notice his play.

I think he will make the team. As a result, what position will lose depth? They have some tough decisions to make.

I think Logan will CREATE depth at RB, like we need it there! We know the top three, how about adding Logan and it looks like Davis will stick around unless Summers can assert himself in the last week. Redman goes to the PS for being one-dimensional.

with sepulvada booming punts and logan averaging 20 yards a return - this could be a year when steelers special teams rank very high. god, how long have we been waiting for that???????

Technically, Logan is a RB. I know they have him working out at WR. I think WR is the position they expect him to learn. Will they decide to keep one less WR, LB, DB, or sacrifice another position to keep him? I think if Summers goes to the PS, another team will go after him.

There's no doubt he makes the team.

Tank WAS a lower round draft pick after all. I read Tomlin said that he still has an opportunity to show something...which means to me he hasnt shown much yet. That has proven out during the games and, unfortunately, with the injury. If he isnt better than the five or so RB we keep, then let another team have him. We are in a good situation where a lot of teams will be picking off our scrap heap. Would you rather let go of McDonald to make room for him at WR? an extra DB (Ratliff, Lewis, or Burnett)? one less guy in the DL rotation? I wouldnt pull the trigger on any of those scenarios for the Tank, so far.

They kept talking about Logan as a one trick pony and that might be true. I'll take the one trick that he does every time he touches the ball.

Giving the offense more field position

The threat of scoring when he has the ball

Even allows the offense to gain better field position even for a punt, and our defense gains from that.

He needs to make the team.

Can you imagine working that guy into the offense on a screen play and getting him the ball in open space? That'd be something, wouldn't it?

devon hester appears to be a one trick pony as well - but that one trick is pretty darn good. if we don't keep logan, some other team WILL snatch him up. it would really suck to see him average 20 yards a return with someone else.
