Well, with the Moss deal, they only got a 4th rounder, which was grand larceny. At least this time they appear to have gotten a 3rd and a 4th, even if it is not until 2011.
Steeler teams featuring stat-driven, me-first, fantasy-football-darling diva types such as Antonio Brown & Le'Veon Bell won no championships.

Super Bowl winning Steeler teams were built around a dynamic, in-your-face defense plus blue-collar, hard-hitting, no-nonsense football players on offense such as Hines Ward & Jerome Bettis.

We don't want Juju & Conner to replace what we lost in Brown & Bell.

We are counting on Juju & Conner to return us to the glory we once had with Hines & The Bus.

It pains me to say this but I think with all the moves the Patriots made this season everyone is playing for second. Turn a blind eye if you like but the addition of Fred Taylor, Leigh Bodden, Joey Galloway, Shawn Springs and the return of Brady is going to be huge.

      Who did we add again?
ok i will turn a blind eye. fragile fred taylor, c'mon the guy is like 35. he will fit in well with all the other injury prone rb's they have. joey galloway would have been a great pick up 5 years ago. shawn springs is not only old but he has never been anything more then mediocre and bodden, eh its leigh bodden. crown their azz right now if you would like. its not who the steelers added its who they lost which is nobody really. ohhh wow bmac and foote, what a blow. it will be the same team that WON the sb last season
Fred Taylor will push a 1000 yards. Bodden and Springs probably didn't care about their surroundings last year and will be huge contributors this year as part of the Patriots. (e.g. Randy Moss). Randy hated Oakland and it showed. Gets to New England and has been tearing it up since.

The same team that didn't have to go through the likes of Brady and the Patriots. We are all familiar with the outcome when that happens.

the oline was the same last year with brady or cassell starting. harrison would have destroyed brady the same he did to cassell. cassell is more mobile than brady anyways. haha no way fragile fred gets to 1,000 yards. there is a huge difference between moss and bodden and springs. moss was one of the best wr's in the nfl up untill he got to oakland. springs and bodden have never been much more than average. springs has been just as over rated as jason sehorn use to be. yea the difference between those steeler teams and the steelers now is huge. rookie season ben or kordell compared to a vet ben. this defense is better than any steeler defense i have ever seen in the past. why didnt the same team have to go through the likes of the pats last season? oh yea because they didnt make the playoffs. the pats are an aging team on the decline, that is the reality of it

Frank I hope you are right. I hate the Patriots more then the next person but you have to like they way they find these guys everyone thinks are washed up and they perform above and beyond. The achilles heal last year for the Patriots was the secondary. What did they do to fix it? They grabbed guys that were cheap and have alot of upside potential. Personally, I think the Patriots steam roll through the AFC East and challenge us for the best record in the AFC. That means for us to return to the Super Bowl we may have to beat our nemisis in our own backyard. If we do it and hoist the Lombardi in February it may be hard to look past the Steelers as the team of the decade.

i do like how they address their needs, but trading ellis hobbs who is a lot better than bodden or springs was stupid. there were also other rb's i would have signed before fragile fred, but the guys they signed are cheap and they are low risk situations. that is what the steelers do for the most part. guys like farrior, clark and i think sean mcdonald will be another cheap vet's that are solid. the steelers just dont have many holes right now except for the o-line. if the pats had a better defense i would be worried about playing them. the sb's they have won their offense was excellent but their defense was very good. you can have the best offense ever but if your secondary is crap and overall defense is poor you wont win anything. even last season the steelers run game was the worst it has been in a very long time. they still ran all over the pats and was probably one of the best games the steelers had on the ground all season
