I reeeeeally didn't like his body language or the look in his eyes. I didn't think he had much composure at all. But, then again, it may be that he was a little shell shocked and if he's innocent and P.O.'d, I can see that.

He looked so disheveled. He needed a haircut and a shave. And, who the hell dressed him? Cripes, he looked like the day after an office party that went too long.

Good description and I agree! I looked at his actions another way too. This will impact his play on the field if he had to take the field this week...No doubt!!! Let's hope he gets better. As far as having sex with her...I said before that I think it will come out that he did. I would be willing to bet alcohol was involved. I posted some pics of her. One thing Ben did mention was his family and how this was an attack on them too. He was really pissed and looked angry when he said that. Don't forget he has a 20 year old sister who also will probably have this in her face and as a big brother that probably has him flaming.

As said before he should adopt a scorched earth policy with regards to the accuser and use every resource he has and destroy every aspect of her life like she is doing to him.

There in lies part of the problem. He most likely had sex with the lady which means he was alone with her. Then it becomes he said/she said. I doubt this goes away quickly because you have several people involved in the suit.

This ends up being anything but a quiet offseason.

It definitely looked rehearsed (which is normal in this type of situation). He stressed "CIVIL" when discussing the allegations, making sure people know that he is not criminally involved in anything. He waved his hand a bit to look political...but overall his attitude and demeanor were believable. He definitely looked pi$sed....

It appears to be nothing more than he said, she said. But he is still innocent until proven guilty. If it were a criminal charge, her lawyer would have to prove that he is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, which would be near impossible to do a year later, especially since she never reported anything back then, so the authorities were not able to collect any evidence at that time. In a civil case, however, a decision is based solely on the preponderance of the evidence, in which the burden of proof is not nearly as stringent. As an example of the difference, think back to the O.J. trial in which he was found not guilty in criminal court but guilty in the civil case, making him liable to the Goldman family monetarily even though he was not in prison.
