Pretty sure it was, "here's our offer, take it or leave it".

How is that being led around?
Pull it when they say no and move on.

Until it's time to pay, then we all know who WR1 is.

Yeah, I don’t buy that at all.

          #1 WR’s get PAID.

Even D Johnson. I happen the think we are fine at WR. Our #2, #3, and #4 guy are better than most teams. And Pickens, our #1 WR is in for a big year.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

Wish I could share your confidence. Maybe it will prove to be so.

In any case, I don't forsee an abundance of passes to WRs happening with Smith's offense anyway.

                This.

Our WR room is probably amount the worst in the league.

Need the QBs to elevate them IMO.

The issue is if Pickens gets hurt. There will be a tremendous drop off, but I do have a high level of confidence that Smith can design an offense with what he has.

I also don't think Kahn is done with the WR room. I think there is a Plan B if Aiyuk doesn't happen

New report, Steelers are willing to deal a 2nd and 3rd pick for Aiyuk. The hang up; no players in trade. (Niners are coveting Pickens, Muth, or Fitz.... LOL that ain't happening).

What good is the best 50/50 ball WR is you don't use him? I am talking about Pickens.

After seeing JuJu, Claypool, and James Washington all get cut in the past few days I’m starting to think that maybe the Steelers aren’t as great at developing WR’s as we have been led to believe.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

I think all three have been dealing with injuries. Nothing about development there.

I've been in this camp for a while.

We got that reputation because (1) AB was a once in a lifetime find so late in the draft and (2) Ben made all the other WRs better.

Don't forget Wheaton and Coates. JuJu was good.

I'd thru in PF it he was the only hold-up for Aiyuk.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Washington was never that good IMO. Combat catches are fine but he was slow as hell and couldn’t get open quickly. I know some think straight line speed in shorts counts but he didn’t impress.

Claypool and JuJu.. well, both had amazing starts to their career. Claypool was just hard headed. Dude believed his hype.

JuJu just got hurt. It happens.
