I say go back to 16, eliminate Thursday games (except for two on Thanksgiving) and 4 pre-season. Of course the league will never do that because that means less money for the owners AND the players. BTW I always laugh when people singularly blame the greedy owners. Nothing happens without union consent, and the players share equally in the spoils of those extra money grabs.

I was holding off on posting this until the end of the season but it looks unlikely that it will change between now and then (at least for Pickett).

If you are not familiar, elo is the defunct fivethirtyeight QB rating method that is similar to QBR but not on 0-100 scale. They also devised a way to adjust ratings to make comparisons over eras more valid (the rating is adjusted vs NFL avgs for the week played).

Here's a comparison of a few Steeler QBs. I'm afraid to say that KP is looking kinda Bubby-like in the early part of his career.

(Didn't want the plot to look like spaghetti but I also took a look at Cliff Stoudt's ratings. He was actually better than Bubby and Pickett. I've mentioned KP being Ryan Tannehill like early in his career and the curves are virtually identical. If there is another QB comparison you are interested in let me know and I'll check the data).

I like Thursday games. I think they should wait until bye weeks and have teams come back on Thursday and then get another 10 days to rest up.

the problem is the amount of games he has left to injury. Pretty sure we have lost all but one game where he left with an injury.

That is A LOT of games missed in 25 starts and he has yet to really have a game with serious stats and I think all but one the score was close.

He?a losing chances to change minds and a large reason why is because he isn?t seeing the field.

I think the problem is more than he's very inconsistent. Usually has max one good quarter per game.

Yes. The answer is yes!

Personally, I think they could / should stay at 17 games (or go back to 16 games) and just add more bye weeks.

Then they still get more weekends they can sell adds. And players don't get beat up as much.

Probably there is something wrong with competitive balance with this solution.

I feel like usually when he does the turn his back to the play spin, he is going left.

hate that spin, it only worked once or twice but he has run into traffic another 4 or 5 times. Needs to learn how to slide his feet in the pocket or just throw it in the dirt by a WR or TE in the flat and live to see another play.
