Joel was right! Warren is the future

Gotta give props when it's due. I didn't think Najee was bad but clearly Warren is much better.

He didn't start last game but he should've and he should start the rest of the year.

It's time for the youth movement. Najee, DJ and Muth all need their playing time reduced. Patrick Peterson as well.

Did anyone else realize before yesterdays game that Jaylen never takes his helmet off while on the field?

I think it was credited to his high school coach that told players never to take off their helmet or take a knee while on the field.

I only caught part of the story but they showed a team pick with everyone?s helmet off and Jaylen?s on.

Always ready. Maybe the whole offense needs to do this next game.

I would agree, time for Najee to get bench time and Warren to start. I have no faith in D.J. and didn't like the pick and certainly not the extension. Need 2 maybe 3 WRs next year. Need a new WR coach as well, this stable has dropped off considerably since coach Drake passed.

To me even drafting PF was a blunder of epic proportions (I have stated this many times here) Humphrey was the correct selection. Probably could have gotten PF in the third. He is trending a bust and seems injuries have crept up on him. Possible training camp cut next year.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

I don't think I have ever disliked a WR as much as I dislike DJ. lol...

I did think PF would be a legit RZ weapon but is he a bust or are we simply not using him for what he does best? I think PF should be split out wide more often. He is not a blocker.

Did you see KP8's face coming off the field on the pass that DJ did not stop and turn. Clearly they were not on the same page and as I have said many times before, when this happens it makes the QB look terrible, no matter who is wrong.

I also put DJ at the bottom of my WRs list, just below Coates, Wheaton, and Sweed (I did like Sweed for a while). DJ is the worst.

Whatever happened to Tomlin?s run them until the wheels fall off? strategy for his RB?s? Le?Veon Bell consistently had 20+ rushing attempts per game plus a lot of receptions as well. It?s past time to get back to that since Pickett may never have a 200 yard passing game for the remainder of his NFL career.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

The first pass on the last drive. DJ looks surprised and does the "what? who, me?"

8 targets, 2 receptions.. 16 yards. As long as DJ is our first option on offense we will struggle. The guys is scared of contact and doesn't want to run over the middle.

I think it's better to have some kind of division of labor at RB, but I'd be in favor of using Warren as the lead back.

Yes, he had 1 good play the last 2 seasons and pulled a hammy.

Warren is playing great but here's the thing - how many times is Harris getting the ball and being immediately met with multiple defenders? This goes back to defenses knowing when Harris is in the backfield he's getting the ball like 90% of the time, maybe that changed recently? I don't know but I think his comments after the game are alluding to that.

Be that as it may, Warren has earned the right to start. Time will tell what happens after that.

We are tipping our hand with Najee. With Warren we seem to be in more pass formations that we can take advantage of..

also, I see Warren breaking tackles and avoiding tackles that Najee simply can't do when met at the LOS. He has zero lateral movement. Not sure what happened but Najee doesn't even attempt to stiff arm players anymore. He tries to jump over them. Last game vs the Packers he had a nice gain on the ground and instead of stiff arming or making a move.. he jumped. Not even trying to hurdle the guy, he just jumped while running.

Najee and DJ are giving me Claypool vibes. Where they keep doing the same thing and don't understand why they aren't scoring more TD's or gettin better production. Just making lazy decisions instead of running like their pants are on fire. You can see the difference when DJ has the ball and when Pickens has the ball. You see it with Najee and Warren as well. These young dudes are running like they want to get PAID. Najee and DJ running like they already got paid. I know Najee hasn't been paid but he is making first round money.

                            Warren: 12 touches, 145 yards.

Steelers team: 29 touches, 133 yards.
