    Cowherd on Tomlin and Pickett

    He is right.

Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

It’s truly mind boggling to me that no NFL team has yet to sign Colin Cowherd as their head coach or general manager.
Obviously the standard is the standard.

He is SO SMART and knows everything. Makes me laugh the fools that will lap up anything he says and take it as gospel, but ignore what professionals actually performing in the NFL say and do

He's not that smart. He has good writers for his recorded takes. Do you know how popular tv shows work being the scenes? Cowherd is well connected with several NFL insiders. As such he appears smart. I give him one thing, he is good as commutating.

He issued to offer his own takes which bell up in his face. With his aid, the takes are batting about .600 which is decent.

I have an idea for a new reality show so hear me out. When the XFL/USFL resumes play next Spring every team has to hire a popular talking head to be both their head coach and GM. Colin Cowherd, Mark Madden, Stephen A., Skip Bayless, etc would all get their very own team for like an 8 game season and it would be filmed just like Hard Knocks. What do you think?

Hard to argue, who here takes Kenny over Burrow, Allen, Stroud, Herbert because he has a better record?

Hmmm... Could be a winner. The takes them running a team would be combination of a car crash and a dumpster fire. You would just have to look, and therein lies the appeal of the show. I think Madden would have the best team, Smith would be the best at ripping his, Cowherd would be too smug for his teams owns good, and Bayless is just an empty nice guy in a suit. Putting Madden on TV in family living rooms though is disgusting thought. Radio may be better. Include takes on Tomlin. Oh , a nice looking lady because well this show would need it.

I'd take it a step further. Have a contest that selects message board posters and have them run teams. That would be a hit comedy

I don't think we have seen Kenny's ceiling yet. It's not like Tebow where he had a screwed up throwing motion and played the position like a FB. Kenny isn't seeing the field or comfortable right now but coaches know what he is capable of when in rhythm and on his game. He needs to start showing it sooner than later because year 3 is where I think we make a decision on our long term plans.

What do you think these billionaire owners do? They hire good (hopefully) people and let them do their jobs. If the results aren't there, they make changes.

You honestly don't think there are not people here who could do that if they had the money?

The trend line definitely needs to start turning up or we will need to cut bait and go to Plan B.

I think in general Big Ben spoiled us. A rookie who came in and performed at a consistently high level for a very long time. That is the exception, not the rule. I just hope we are not entering a period like the 80s where we can't find that QB.

I was never a KP fan, but he gave me hope last season. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be false hope.

I think there are a large number of people here who would be more like Dan Snyder than the Rooneys. Too many people here lack perspective and want immediate gratification.

I bet if you had the stats, you would see a real generational divide on where people fall.
