You honestly don't think there are not people here who could do that if they had the money?
I think the premise is more like an all powerful GM who had 100 percent over the team including coaches.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

nah, I think he is talking day to day GM, HC decisions not just owning the team and paying guys to run the show.

Who do you play, who do you bench, how do you handle disgruntled star players, different egos and such. How do you respond and adjust after a losing streak or horrific game by a key player.

But I do think Tepper is a prime example of a Billionaire in over his head as a new owner. I'm sure he thought it would be easy to run a team better than Rooney and now that he has one, he is hiding from the fans after starting out being in parking lots shaking hands and saying he would be available.

now it looks like Tepper hired 2 bad coaches and he will pay handsomely to remove them. It's so easy when it's someone else making mistakes.

OK, GM and HC are different, but plenty of folks here criticize GM and HC of other teams, what gives them the right to do that if they couldn't do it themselves?

What gives "plenty of folks here" to criticize our coaches and organization if they couldn't do it themselves?

I think in general Big Ben spoiled us. A rookie who came in and performed at a consistently high level for a very long time. That is the exception, not the rule. I just hope we are not entering a period like the 80s where we can't find that QB.

I was never a KP fan, but he gave me hope last season. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be false hope.
I did not want him in round one!

I would have chosen this guy.

We have a game manager who is scared of throwing the ball over the middle.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Lloyd is who I wanted as well. I thought he was the safer pick for us and filling a need at the same time. I wasn't a fan of them taking Pickett. Of course we all understood the need but it was the weakest draft class in years. Funny that the best QB in that draft was the very last player taken in that draft.
