So there are issues like that. I don?t think I?m allowed to ever recommend that, at least publicly, but I think each player needs to find a way to build up leverage to try to get a fair deal. I would say he definitely inferred it.

Here's a guy that would like some NFL RB pay:

The Pittsburgh Steelers may not be done adding to their roster even though 2023 training camp is already in full swing. The organization announced the recent signing of inside

Yea. I'd say so. So Najee wants to get involved like this when he's not even a top talent? Good luck. Keep running your pie hole.

Yes he should Harris should keep out of this conversation, it is best for veteran backs older than him, making more money than him and to be frank are better than he is / will have better market value than he does.

And when a teammate snaps at you and he is making more money, its best to keep it in house.

Harris will learn of this reality soon, I think.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

wait, if someone makes more money than you then you can’t respond if they snap at you?

              That’s silly.

Its also smart of Najee to speak up now. His time is coming and regardless of where he lands in pay scale he wants to be valued appropriately. We have no idea what Najee will want when its his time.

If his ypc doesn't improve, all of this is moot; he's not even in line to talk top $ regardless. (Unless Art's ego goes off, since he probably hand picked him, and if that's the case, he could be wildly overpaid to serve Art's ego.)

                  hypothetically speaking..

                  let’s say Najee’s ypc is 3.9 in 2023

but he has 1300 rushing yards
                  12 TD’s
                  350 passing yards
                  4 passing TD’s.

                  what then?

I ask because Najee is the short yardage back and GL back and will have carries on 3rd and 1, 4th and 1 or inside the 5 yard line

What he will want when his contract is up, and what he is offer are two different things. In the mean time, his new teammate has called him out.

yelling on the field isnt calling someone out. Its nit like Roberts went to the press to voice his concerns

and again, we dont know what the numbers are or what Najee wants be lcause his time hasnt come yet his position is undervalued so he has every right to speak on it.

As you know I personally devalue that position.
That said I can 100 percent understand the frustration running backs feel and dont blame them for speaking out.

The sad truth is that the prime years of a back starts and ends early in most cases. Decline often starts partway through the second deal.

The majority of a backs value is on that rookie deal, while he is cheap because of the collective bargaining agreement.

I don't feel so bad for them. The top ones can retire millionaires for a few years of work. How many jobs out there can you do the same? Their beef really is seeing those around them making far more, .....salary envy.

The RBs need to figure out how to get and stay more involved with the passing game. That's what will get them above average pay for the position. Najee's targets dropped in half the second season of his career probably because of Warren getting involved. And it's not hard to see why that was the case either. Warren had 14 first downs on 33 targets, Harris had 16 on 53 targets.

                                +1. Right

but he has 1300 rushing yards
                                12 TD?s

                                4 passing TD?s
                                1. To the poster who wrote this.

Harris is not going to get 1,300 yards rushing this year. I will bet your this does not happen. Straight up. No odds. Ante up? The way I see it, he has about 5% chance to do that. Yes, I am telling your there is a chance if for no other reason to goad you.

                                2. Harris will not get 350 passing either I am sure of that.

                                Thanks for the laugh.
