He has NEVER ran that much. Kenny runs more than he does.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

This is a good point. Another point is you have a passing franchise level qb, the RB they play with is less valid. Mahomes is NOT a running QB at all. He has Andy Reid and generally good protection.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***

Sure, if you have Mahomes it works. Not so much with Allen. I think the lack of a running game is their weakness and it showed last year.

But teams like the Titans, Vikings, Giants and Raiders who have or had RB’s who carried the load, I think that is when you have more incentives to invest in a RB. These QB’s are not able to carry their team on their own and the running game is a huge part of their offense.

I doubt Barkley sits out but it has to be frustrating seeing his QB get $80 mill guaranteed for the next 2 years for 15 passing TD’s last season.. smh.

Business is business. Supply & demand. Plain and simple. An over abundance of players for that position (Fournette, Cook and Hunt still sitting out there) means you don't have to pay top dollar to guys who play that position.

Hopefully KP runs less this year. And takes fewer big shots. And if he does get hit, hopefully the refs will throw flags now that he's not a rookie.

What I find interesting is JC Tretter (NFL Players Associate President) is now advising RB's to fake injuries. So I'm interested to see where this is going now.

that sure seems like what he said

NFL Players Association president JC Tretter recently said the quiet thing out loud about players sometimes pretending to be injured as a way to express displeasure with their contracts.

“I don’t think anybody would say they were fake injuries, but we’ve seen players who didn’t want to be where they currently are, have injuries that made them unable to practice and play, but you’re not able to get fined, and you’re not able to be punished for not reporting. So there are issues like that. I don’t think I’m allowed to ever recommend that, at least publicly, but I think each player needs to find a way to build up leverage to try to get a fair deal. And that’s really what all these guys are looking for, is to be compensated fairly.”

Still looking for "I think players should fake injuries", or "I recommend players fake injuries to gain leverage in contracts". It's veiled but not outright.

And how does faking injuries lead to a larger contract? Answer; it doesn't. It gets you labeled as injury-prone and not worth a mega deal. RBs have pretty much zero leverage. Sitting out? Ask Bell and his agent how that worked out.

he basically said “I’m not saying players should but.. wink wink” Not sure how you read that and dont see him saying it.

would’ve worked out pretty well if Bell actually worked on his craft that season he sat out. He literally SAT the whole year.. lol.

The money was there, he just got fat and lazy.

and didn’t Bettis admit he faked an injury when he feared he was about to get cut

Former Pittsburgh Steeler star Jerome Bettis, in a new book to be published in early September, says he faked a training camp injury in 2000 to avoid getting cut by the team.

its risky but if the RB behind you doesn’t perform and the QB and offense struggles it could move the needle.

It's not as if KP was running around taking big hits; he took very few. As a matter of fact, the 2 shots that gave him concussions where patty cake shots. The bigger concern is how easily he seems to get concussed.

REALLY look at this hhit. His head took virtually nothing.
