We are going to run the ball whether it be from 12 personnel or the old unbalanced line. When the bus was young and we had Faneca, I watched us run 12 straight runs with Bettis. The same exact play. We closed out a game against the Bengals at Paul Brown stadium. They had 9 men up in the box but we had beaten them into submission. That is the Rooney/Steelers style. Get ready because that is what we intend to do.
Yea, "intend" to do. Exactly. That's the entire point.

We got them right where we want them! That 18 PPG is gonna make winning a breeze. Just ask Cool Shades.

What are you whining about. 18 ppg LAST SEASON is why we acquired a TON on offensive linemen help AND a tight end who is like a lineman.

Bigger holes, better protection will make EVERYONE better.

If we WANTED to score as little as possible (a ridiculous premise) why are we investing in offensive line?

Why are you complaining when YOU CALLED FOR US TO DO JUST THAT?

And a 6’7” GOLIATH tight end is like having another tackle which is almost cheating.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

With the right coaching and scheming it could work. If it's just "impose your will" with no attempts to scheme free yards with play action and misdirection and setting up obvious mismatches, I don't have a lot of confidence. Any team can stop the run by throwing bodies at the LOS, if your philosophy is just to puff out your chest and "beat your man", it's doomed to end badly vs. teams that can score in bunches.

How bout we watch and see what they do with a giant tight end.
People tire of the jet sweeps?

That alone would be WAY more successful with the new editions

How about the pathetic 18 PPG offense from last year? Is the 12 gonna save that? Come on, do tell, Dizzy. Maybe Cam's little bro is gonna save this fart of an offense.
You are implying that the same 12 personnel will be on the field this season. Not very likely with the changes on OL coming and the addition of a beastly TE.

Of course we'll have to wait and see, I'm just saying you can't expect to line up and run vanilla plays and out-execute everyone, especially when they know what's coming.
