Also, the flaw with them is that you are putting your WR's in harms way with trying to run one. Example- JuJu got hurt on one. Gonna run the ball, let the RB do it.
I'm not a big fan of them but I understand the concept. I think they would work best with either a 'wideback' that can break tackles or a WR that has blazing speed to outrun the DB or LB. Austin might be that guy this year.

I think much so the same. Now pair Austin him with freak like rookie TE Washington or Jones can you cooking with crisco. Now that is Jet sweep ! At least it reads like one on paper.
Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.

Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.

His " stats " are partly the product of a bad OL which was upgraded that forced a rookie QB to throw it short so often. That will change for the better. I expect 'Muth's stats to drop a little. Warren is going to play more. His stats will rise as will Austin's. I expect Harris targets to drop. We've got some players. I told you guys we weren't going to draft any WR early.

I'm hoping that Pickens is more than "Spectacular Catch Guy!"

Lots of times, I didn't see lots of separation

KP will go to the guy that?s open.

DJ gets open better than anyone in the league so he?s gonna get targets.

If GP wants targets, he needs to get open.

          Same for everyone else.

I think with the big bodies and focus on running game, it?s gonna open up more for the TEs and deep middle of the field.

This.... you make spectacular catches because you HAVEN'T created separation. He needs to watch DJ and improve his route running and route tree.

We have to hope AR is healthy and ready to go. If he is, this is a REALLY solid WR corps.

For that reason... between Gunner/Miller, AT LEAST one of those two is gone because Boykin, if not both...

yes, no one wants to acknowledge that play or any of Connor’s impact plays from last year for some reason. Its the cutsie effect.

Thing is, the jet sweep works if blocked correctly but that isn’t the primary reason why its used. It’s used to get those LB’s moving so when they fake it and run the inside zone runs with Najee it makes it easier to move LB’s off their spot.

Exactly right, it slows those linebackers down, that's why so many teams have the play and the motion in their offense.

That's true BUT he had to wait on the ball a bit because Pickett does not zip in there. That is part of the reason he did not separate as much as I would have to like him do when he caught the football. He is not a very good separation WR. BUT he has hands of glue and can make some of those did you see that type of catches. He also 6'3" tall with fairly long arms. His speed is good.

It's hard to say; they could have in inherent problem with the passing O in general. No one gets open.
