    Pure lunacy.

Now if they lose out to the WNBA it surely is getting real.

you act like people had to choose between the women’s championship game and an NFL game.

Guarantee the NFL wins the ratings night every Thursday during the season.

Cowher's playoff record without the Super Bowl run is 8-9, same as Tomlin's with his Super Bowl run. All of Tomlin's playoff record is with Big Ben, Cowher's non-SB playoff record is largely without Ben.

Tomlin is 8-9 WITH one. He hasn't made the playoffs without one.
Cowher valued other positions. Having a franchise QB is awesome. hope KP is that guy, but that also means you cannot afford as good a surrounding cast.

we had all types of flexibility drafting toms of tweeners when there weren’t that many teams running the 3-4. Totally different these days with the amount of teams playing a 3-4.

I'd like to go through the many reason why. Winning is the standard for the Steelers. Winning games regardless of the obstacles a team faces is the standard for the Steelers. It's not simply about winning championships.

This doesn't mean that the Steelers don't want to reach the goal of winning a championship every season.

Other teams can have better QB's, coaches, or X, Y, Z.

The Steelers focus as an organization never changes regardless. The Steelers do their best to win games and compete with the best regardless of any other factors.
Just like every single other team in the league.
How is it possible to have the best owner, best front office, best gm, best HC, good/great drafts every year and good FA acquisitions every year, but only have 3 playoff wins in 14 years?

Tomlin stays, and he should, because he is a great leader who is respected by his players and his colleagues across the league, and he guarantees you will have a high probability of winning year in and year out

Like I've said, those who hate Tomlin are the same morons who wanted Whisenhunt and Grimm.
You never even heard of Tomlin until the Steelers hired him.

                    Yup.
Definitely won with cowhers players and coaches.

Most Steeler fans never heard of Cowher either before he was hired.

Probably won’t be familiar with the next coach either.

It does not matter, once hired, he’s one of us so we root for them to succeed.

Yinzer: A non-thinking, homer of the Steelers. A person who believes everything the Steelers do is the best, regardless of how much information disputes this notion.

I saw Whisenhunt listed as a cautionary tale in this thread. He may still be the coach had they hired him in 2007 and people might be talking about his streak of non-losing seasons.

Took over an Arizona team that went five straight years with 4-6 wins, had them in the Super Bowl in his second season.

If Deebo's knee touches a half yard short, or Tone's toe is one inch OOB, he pulls off a huge Super Bowl upset over the heavily favored Steelers, who needed two of the most legendary individual efforts in Super Bowl history to escape with a W.
