Only because they knew him thoroughly from sharing same facilities.

yes. Alex noted for 1st round picks. Watch the pro days they both attend or how it worked in the past.

And watch the position coaches visits on day 2 of the draft

by the looks of it we are more interested in OC than OT.

I can see us taking one in the 3rd or later

What are you talking about? Our MLB's are the same size as other MLB's around the league. You have to have athletic ILB's because the offensive lineman are more athletic and a lot of teams run wide zone. The idea that your going to put some big stocky linebacker on the inside and he is going to stop the run is laughable. I said a thousand times. If you want a run stopper invest in a NT who can wreck a game or eat up double teams.

I think you guys miss the point. That focus is all about where in the draft the positions are selected. If punter was the biggest need, you wouldn't be talking first rounder.

If you're discussing 1st rounders and all of the NT and ILB are projected rounds 2-4, that doesn't mean that you're ignoring them (see my sig)

Obviously, there are always exceptions in guys that are perceived as generational talents. And there's always a Tom Brady or Antonio Brown who breaks the mold of what is typical and shows up in the 6th round - but generally speaking, the really good OT goes before the really NT.

CBs Forbes and Steveson added to to list.

depot also mentioned Steelers didn’t attend usc’s pro day. Went to Iowa’s state’s instead

                      S. Scott scored a RAS score in the high 9s.
                      (S. Sidney brown did as well).

by comparison. Branch scored in the mid 5s

Penn State's Joey Porter Jr. visits with Steelers, who seek potential CB in 1st round of draft

                        Thursday, March 30, 2023

One of the top college prospects who is quite familiar with the Steelers’ practice facility on the South Side is on site for a pre-draft visit Thursday. North Allegheny grad and Penn State cornerback Joey Porter Jr. is a visitor at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex as the Steelers continue

Porter, Dawand Jones, Banks with first three picks and I'm in heaven. Could have a dominant secondary AND OL built in one offseason.

Honestly, I'm excited about this draft because there are so many needs (especially on defense).

                            Team Needs
Offense: OT, maybe WR or TE... They don't need a RB, the interior o-line seems fixed and they have a QB.
Defense: EVERYTHING. They literally, could use NT (starter), DE (depth, future starter), ILB (starter), OLB (depth), CB (depth, future starter), S (starter)

It kinda opens it up where they don't have to reach if you truly can take BPA, at least on one side of the ball. Just take the most impactful player. Periodt

I'd double up on one position with their top 3 picks and make one position group elite. If you get that 3rd pick right you can make another elite.
