Get him and a guard to replace the left side of the line and we're in good shape up front.

I believe Jones is a RT. I know they moved him around some. Good road grader. IMHO would be a solid pick in the 2nd even at 32.

Johnson played there, not sure if he can, but Chucks can if he can't. We need better linemen.

I know chuks played there in college. But thought in camp one summer he did not look good there.

Yes, we sure do, unless you want to continue operating with a below average LT as we go. Brilliant plan, two years in. They will prove that 4th-round pick was a genius grab if it kills them (or our starting QB). How many whiffs is enough? 10? 20?

Chucks can't. We need a for real LT.

Dawand Jones is definitely a RT only.

speed rushers would give him fits at LT.

Nice to see Torrance in the mix.

Chuks played LT in college, his most natural position. If you'll recall, Chuks was our starting LT until Zach Banner got hurt as our starting RT. When Banner couldn't return after that injury, that's when Chuks moved there. He was our starting LT in waiting , but Moore wasn't RT capable.

I recall seeing that he struggled in camp at LT.
I’ve read others say the same.

if he could play LT, why would we play him at RT?

it’s a lot easier finding a capable RT then LT

Yeah, not saying he didn't struggle at LT, but, when they tried Moore at RT, it was really a disaster, from what I recall. Given the lesser of two evils, Chuks ended up at RT because Moore was only LT capable.

Either way, another OT (LT or RT, whichever way the draft falls) that is starter capable is a must . A guy like Dawand Jones solves our RT problems at #32, then we'll still need to figure out the long term solution at LT this year or next.

I don't understand the single minded focus on the off LIne. Does anyone really think the Off Line is in worse shape than our ILB position of the middle of of DL? Compared to those two positions, the OL is well stocked and a fine tuned machine. The OL got better as the season went on in 2022. Both ILB and our NT situation got worse.
