    Merry-Go-Round of Misery

I was reading a browns board and they now refer to the organization as the Merry-Go-Round of Misery.

I think we have now finished tied or ahead of them 30 or 33 seasons in a row. The weeping and waling over there is spectacular.

I guess that shows we have spoiled fans.

One comment I like: They finished ahead of us with a rookie QB.
Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Which Browns board are you reading? It's a great week to be in C-town!

It was either Barking Hard or Dawg Talking. I spy both of them.

Thank you. Cleveland.com had at one time an area that comments could be made but it seems not to be there anymore.

I still worry about D. Watson in the future. He did have a bad pick in the game, but that team isn't going to be a pushover in the coming seasons.

One of my Browns' fan buddies txtd me: Pgh is at the bottom of their rebuilding stage and they are still better than we are. In Cleveland, it starts with the ownership, and Haslam is just a terrible owner: always meddling, knee jerk reactions, back stabbing, the whole organization is a reflection on his "leadership." Oh that, and the poor ignorant fans; they still blame the refs for every loss, including yesterday. Every team fan base does that to an extent, but no where near to the level of Cleveland.

Not worried. DW's cap hit kicks in next season plus they have no first round picks for a few years. Garrett is a head case. Clowney is gone. They have meh at WR. Stefanski might get one more season before Haslam gets another itch.

Is it an insult to Flores that the Browns want to interview him for DC?

Stanfanski is going to come under fire next year if they don't win 10 games. He can use the Watson excuse for right now but the fact is they played better as a team when Brisett was the QB. And they were not getting any better as the season ended. They predominantly deemphasized their running game when Watson came back and it cost them. That was real stupid not to keep Chubbs the focal point of the offense; especially in the red zone. Only in the final game did they try and refocus to Chubbs.

7 sacks... I was happy Cleveland threw $230 million at him and then couldn't afford a line... The Baltimorons should throw money at Lamar... I don't know when Joe Brr's contract is up, but the Bungles need to back up the Cincy Brinks truck for him... The Steelers have a core group locked-in...

I would agree with SM. I know of no logical reason KS don't run Chubb more. He is a tough runner behind a stout line. But hey, I am glad he don't.

Watson to me is a bit of a mystery. He does have great pocket presence and an arm, but I think with us seeing twice a year we will contain him as much as possible. Wasn't he like 4-12 at Houston? Didn't they have a solid team?

Cleveland also has money in Garret, Chubb, Cooper, and of course Watson. How many more years without a #1 draft pick, 2 or 3? There cap gets real, real soon.

I don't see a bright future for them. Hope I'm right.

nah.. the year the Texans were 4-12 Watson was playing insane football. The rest of the team was awful.

JJ Watt even went on a rant and apologized for how bad the team was performing compared to how Watson was playing that year.

Factory of sadness. Merry go round of misery. I'm happy the Clowns remain in the basement. But I'm not celebrating that much. We used to own the North or at least contend for that title. We're firmly in 3rd position right now and have only won the north once in the past five years.

Exactly.... anyone who is celebrating anything is just pretending. We are in transition; we didn't make the playoffs; and transition is usually slow. Nothing to celebrate being third and still one of the worse offenses in the NFL. But brighter days (hopefully) are ahead. We are all assuming that:

                              1. our lines will get upgraded this off-season.
                              2. KP will be better if for nothing else..maturation alone
                              3. Hoping the offense as a unit is better by the subtraction of Canada or some miracle of the offense being better WITH Canada.

But not making the playoffs is nothing to celebrate. It's just a " Shrug your shoulders" season. And we move on.
