He did fumble it, Carolina recovered (they threw the blue flag/bean bag). Terrible announcing crew didn't discuss it.

I would love for DJ to accept the role of "Stick mover" with the occasional big play. I think you see today (without the head case stuff), he can be extremely effective in that role. I think the problem for him, is he sees himself as the WR1 and that leads to maybe trying to do too much (hence the lord of the back dance).

I think it must be hard given the psychological makeup of the diva WR that is today's NFL.Comment

DJ has the ability to do whatever he wants on the football field. He can beat man, zone, or combination coverages. He is "mini AB" without a HOF QB throwing to him.I would love for DJ to accept the role of "Stick mover" with the occasional big play. I never read or heard DJ say he saw himself as a number one. Maybe this is your perception? I don't view WRs as 1 vs two, ect. I view WR's groups as skill sets and how well they can complement each other. DJ can be played anywhere as a WR and have success in the NFL.

DJ is a WR that can make plays in space. He attempted to create space by running backwards. It can be maddening in situational football. Sometimes an offense needs a 1st down. Teaching point for DJ.

Barry Sanders had a lot of negative runs attempting to make things happen. Overall good vs limited bad?Comment
