I think the team is also limiting his reads and keeping the O simple.

I think they want to keep it simple for him and limit mistakes and then we’ll see more over time.
If KP8 was a 20 year-old rookie, maybe you'd be onto something... but he isn't, so you aren't...

Is it a late throw, poor route design, poor receiver?
We have defenders calling out the plays. I think it's just the rank simplicity of the offense.

And I keep hearing DJ is the most open but I am starting to wonder if that is because no defense really fears YAC from him. Tackle the catch after a 3 yd curl. He's regressed badly after the catch. Last season avg'd over 5 yds/rec, this season he is less than half that. On one catch he again ran backwards in yesterday's game (not to the same degree as the others). His penchant to run to sidelines after the catch isn't helping the offense. And DJ's avg 'cushion' is near the bottom of the league, Pickens is third worst.

I gotta believe it's play design because there is no way every PIT receiver is that bad. Canada should not stay. But he probably will because they will point to the last half of the season as evidence of his greatness.
I tend to agree here and think it’s the plays.

I can only think of 2 plays last game where guys were running free and it was Heyward on the TD and PF on the one where Kenny threw it a foot too long but shoulda been a TD.

Defenders who study film call out plays in every game for every team... It's not like crackin' the Rosetta Stone...

Tazz, I'm beginning to appreciate Captain Lemming's point: You're giving luck and advanced education a terrible name.

I'm beginning to appreciate healthy 84 year-olds, but only so much... I dispute their definition of luck... Luck isn't always GOOD luck... I've learned more providing MYSELF an advanced education, no mommy and daddy $$ for me... So that wasn't luck (good or bad) If you got a problem with that, come see me.... Whoo-whoo...

I'd love to see how this offense could perform under a real NFL OC

You need an "*" with that claim. Would the new, real OC have Cool Shades handcuffing him all the while to "coach in his fears?" Because it looks like that is what is happening. Who knows what kind of OC Canada would be without Obtuse Shades getting in the way with his "coaching in his fears" mentality.

Wow, that's not "Debbie Downer"-ing at all... CoachT isn't coaching in HIS fears, you see him coaching, and that scares you...

As much as many want him burned at the stake, maybe it was just a matter of learning and growing into this offense.
I think that the time to re-evaluate is at the end of the season. The same way that a month or two ago this O was garbage, and that was not the right time, you don't evaluate right after his best OC performance. However, if the offensive performance continues to trend in the right direction, and the issue becomes execution over scheme (as it was last week) then I wouldn't be surprised if we see another year of Canada.

                            My view exactly
"My team, may they always be right, but right or wrong...MY TEAM!"

If the scheme requires perfect execution on 15-play drives all game long, the scheme is the problem.

Pivoting from seeing CoachT Coach to seeing me is really a poor effort on your part, you can do better.... Even Roy Rogers can do better, and he's gone to the next rodeo...
