In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

    TCFCLTC-
The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

We need better play out of our LT. We may get that through the draft or we may sign a f/a.
I'm more inclined to believe Moore could wind up the swing tackle provided he can play on the right side.
For a first post very well done Lambert72.

          I only ask
I had this same discussion with a friend last week. Moore isn't terrible, he is just inconsistent in pass pro. Remember, as a rookie he controlled Myles Garrett pretty well. IIRC some pre-draft evals of him suggested he might need to move inside at the NFL level

I think kicking him inside would be a good option given that Dotson is getting worse.

Yes, we need a LT early, no doubt.
He is really young (19) and could use another year to get stronger and work on technique. IMO he made a good decision. Likely would have been a Top 10 pick but he could cement a top 5 pick in 2024.

Except DeCastro didn't get overwhelmed by power as Moore constantly does every single game.

Got to say though he has struggled a bit with speed to power he is worse dealing with plus speed turning the arc. I would say his feet are just not quick enough yet. May never be. In addition he could be a better knee bender and that will help him with his initial hand punch n keep him from getting overextended n off balance.
I believe I see enough to keep him around but starting LT is a critical position. He likely is still here in 23 but IDK about as a starter.

                  I'd 100% keep him as a backup.

While I agree he sucks this season, I do remember he was ok last year. Anyone know what happened and why he regressed?

I'm inclined to think Ben getting the ball out in 2.0 or less hid many a pass pro ill. We ran almost everything close to the los n he was going 1st read heavy open or not about 90% of the time.

Thank you. Moore is terrible. Wish he was not, but he is. He’s not a starting lineman in the NFL.

LOL. Please. If he wasn't a starting LT..... he wouldn't be. Any of you watch Footbahlin with Ben? Pouncy was on last episode, talking about Moore and the OL. My oh my, how the pro players have different views than you guys.

He has tons of penalties and misses assignments all the time. Moore is not good and I don’t give a damn what Pouncey says.

Trent Scott is Moore’s backup. They have no choice but to play him and pray on every play he doesn’t hold.

Moore is tied for second most penalties by an offensive lineman in the NFL.

LOL. Ok, well, he's one of 32 starting LT's in the league. He's #1 on depth chart for a reason. He earned it. You should give a damn, but then again... whatever. You have no say in the matter anyway, only the team does.
