    Can Dan Moore play guard??

Maybe I'm wrong but it seems that Dan Moore is correct in the running game but bad in pass protection.

Bearing in mind that our needs are great for the next draft, could Dan Moore be a solution at left guard?

    I only ask

I was thinking the same thing yesterday.

Maybe we can fix our OLine with an elite LT and move Moore inside.

We need an elite LT, first and foremost. I doubt he can move inside but who know. Dotson and/ or K Greene need replaced as well as an NFL grade Center.

This O-line is a hot mess.

I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.

Moore is not built like an OG: they tend to be more "squattish" and powerful. Moore is built like a LT, he just can't play like one - at least not well. He's like a gate that's not closed and just swings with the breeze. DEs just run right by, as if he's not even standing there on way too many plays. He is not the answer at OG, but he could make an OK back up at OT, one you hope you don't need to use much.

Yes, I hate to see the LT from Penn State returning for another year of college ball. He is already projected a top pick in Round 1, what does he have to gain? You're slated as a top Round 1 pick you go to the NFL. Too much risk here.

Yes, we need a LT early, no doubt.

Chuck, I saw that too and I said, " damn". But we'll get a good one somehow. It's too glaring a need not to fix right away.

worked out ok for Ramon foster who is built like a typical tackle.

What about moving him to the right? And could Chuks play on the left?

Same. The more there are in the draft, the more likely the team has a chance to pick a good one as only so many are available. Where I struggle is that the upcoming schedule tends to lend itself to a few more wins - Falcons, Browns, Raiders are all winnable and are likely to move the team in the wrong direction on the draft board.

I think that at 6' 5", 315lbs he would make an awesome guard!

                    Prison Guard
                    Bodyguard
                    National Guard
                    Security Guard

Just please.....not an NFL offensive guard.

                      Could be.
We need better play out of our LT. We may get that through the draft or we may sign a f/a.
I'm more inclined to believe Moore could wind up the swing tackle provided he can play on the right side.
For a first post very well done Lambert72.

Not sure a change of position for Moore will be the answer with the needless penalties and blown assignments.

Dude misses so many blocks. I don't know if it's poor assignment calls via center, or he is blind as a bat, but he misses obvious blocks routinely. We have to go big ugly early and often in this draft.

Exact same size as DeCastro. 6'5" 315lbs.
