Asked repeatedly if he’d consider changes to starting lineup/coaching staff, Mike Tomlin says: “Absolutely. When you play like this … everyone understands what happened today was not cool.”

The lack of talent on the bench will make it a moot point. But maybe they will find a hidden gem from the practice squad. -

We’d be down to 5 defensive coaches if we went that route.
Do we have enough coaches to help develop all the players?
We’ve got 9 on O, 6 on D, 2 on ST, 1 Strength Coach and an assistant.
The Bills for example have 7 more coaches than we do.
I took a look at the Cowboys too for a comparison cause I figure Jerry is willing to spend money and they have 8 more coaches on staff.
Seems like a big advantage in developing players.sigpicComment

I wonder how we compare when it comes to staffing the org in general. I always hear other teams have bigger rosters of scouts. Invest more in technology, etc.
Maybe we’re getting stung by organizational issues more so than football issues.
Might not just be the coaches and players but the whole org could be falling behind the times???sigpicComment

Quite possibly some good points here. Perhaps (much like Noll) the game and technology have passed the Steelers and Tomlin. If I remember correctly they were one of the last teams to adopt using iPAD devices on the sidelines.I wonder how we compare when it comes to staffing the org in general. If a change comes it will need to be sweeping and from the Deuce.Help me find my post proving I am a Yinzer!
I will tip my hat to Tomlin if he has a winning record and the team makes the play-offs in the upcoming season.Comment

This is on Tomlin, he wants his hands in everything. We're seeing the fruits of that plan now. We’d be down to 5 defensive coaches if we went that route.

Based on Tomlin's track record ("Unleash hell" "We don't live in our fears", the list goes on) nothing will happen but maybe Steelers will shock the world and fire Canada today.Comment

Yes, and Tomlin's team was one of last to embrace analytics for player evaluation too. Are you still on the fence we weed a new head coach? By the way give Robison a hat and get his feet wet. Bush is stinking up the field. He's often the last man in the picture just running around.Quite possibly some good points here. If a change comes it will need to be sweeping and from the Deuce.Tomlin hasn't won a playoff game in seven years and counting. The earliest will be eight years. I guess that in Art Rooney's II, opinion is worth a 3 year extension.
Our 2024 draft looks to be grade A. Our 2023 draft is an A. The roster is talented, but Mike Tomlin is still the head coach.
*** Mike Tomlin is the best coach since the AFL- NFL merger that has not won a playoff game in 8 seasons or more. It's either him or Lewis. ***Comment

This is nothing more than hot air from Tomlin. I've supported him for years but his inability to truly coach and hire coordinators is being highlighted this year. He's nothing more than a cheerleader. I do not expect any impactful changes to be made. He's too stubborn to admit his faults.Comment

This is what I've been saying all these years. He won playoff games and made super bowl appearances on Cowher's players and coaches. After they all left, he's been nothing. This is nothing more than hot air from Tomlin.
