    In real terms?
He allowed 4 of 4 for a total of 41 yards, zero scores. That is not a game, that is the whole season.

Miller allowed "only" 7 of 8 for 68 yards.
Unfortunately they don't give credit for batted balls on passes defensed. Otherwise his pass defense would look a whole lot better.

My understanding of our YPC against last season was basically that it dramatically increased when Cam came out and someon else (Mondeau?) came in.

I don't remember seeing tape or reading articles saying that TJ was blowing gaps. But maybe...

Did you see anything about this somewhere, or are you just thinking it might be an issue?
      just thinking out loud..

no clue how PFF comes up with their ratings and wondered if that could be a factor.

and yes, I saw multiple games where teams exploited the rush upfield with delayed handoffs for huge gains.

That threw me too. Then it occurred to me thatvthose are batted down as a pass rusher, not coverage.

Nevertheless, my larger point is WHO CARES that he gave up 41 yards in a season of coverage.

Statistically, giving up 100 percent looks horrible. But fact is it's 4 passes. Might be behind the LOS... Impossible to prevent. You just gotta tackle the guy.

TJ rarely plays in coverage anymore. To ding him because he ain't elite in a role he rarely does is ridiculous. You cannot treat coverage and pass rush as though they have equal value in evaluating an edge rusher.

In view of the fact that Mike Tomlin has matched Cowhers record I give him the designation:

The Coach Formerly Considered Less Than Cowher

People always tell me "watch the game" don't just read stats.

          I SAW IT multiple times.

I don't need an article. I've heard TJ say after we got gauged, "we gotta stay in our gaps". Cam has said similar.

Too soon for a week 1 overreaction?

The Bills look like the best team in football.

Yes. It's supposed to be overreaction MONDAY WCS.

When we crush Cincinnati with Mitch looking DECIDEDLY BETTER than Burrow, and Pickens looks more explosive than Chase, Bush looks like Lambert and our line gives up no pressures or sacks, while creating massive lanes for Najee...

THAT will be the time to overreact.

I agree, the addition of Von Miller has really solidified their defense. and they will be even stronger once Tre'Davious White returns off the PUP list.

I'd wait until tuesday to say who looks best.

there's only 2 teams that have played so far
