Too easy to forget the team is with these guys everyday in meetings and on the practice field. They know who has command of the play book and who doesn't.

    But hey...what do they know
Command? Mitch just got here. Slight head start but he hasn’t shown that command yet.

FWIW if the Steelers can't find a FA OL to bitch slap this crew into waking up and playing better, they'd better keep Mason all year.

Hopefully they give Kenny some good burn in this one so that he can show that he's the better option.

If it's another 10 play outing + Mason for a half, then I think we know there isn't much hope for Kenny to start the season.

Smart decision in that no decision has been made, right?? The Steelers are following the plan for the pre-season.... People don't understand what they read.... Mitchie will be the starter FOR THE FINAL PRESEASON GAME. Just like the coaches planned... Mitchie has done nothing to change that plan... Unfortunately for Emtee, KP8 has EARNED the QB1 job for the season start in Cincinnati... However, no decision has been made for the start of the season either way...

That's so last season... Najee Harris and the rushing game have not made an appearance... Also, the pocket is cleaner and longer-lived on passing downs this season....

That isn't an accurate portrayal of Emtee's contract... If he takes a certain percentage of snaps, there are incentives to make him up to $27.5 million... If he starts, there's a better chance the Steelers will be on the hook for more than $7 million....

Steel Maniac just makes stuff up, whenever he mentions a specific # in his post it's never accurate.

he always does his best not to let facts get in the way of his false narratives.

Exactly, "those who had dreams and visions" are wrong. Unless Tribusky completely loses his mind....its his job. Pickett looks like a decent young prospect. But, you dont make the mistake of putting him in the spotlight too quickly.

I can't believe we are actually agreeing after all these years lol.

KP is the age where most QBs are negotiating their first big contract.

If he was 20, ok, bring him along slowly. But he’s not. He’s older than some QBs with a couple years in the league.

Let’s find out what he can do sooner than later. I think we all know what Mitch is.

You seem to have backed off of your Trubisky Rebirth narrative for a more conservative "let's not get Kenny killed" approach. Watching him play football will do that to a man. You're on the road to recovery, friend.

If the depth chart is just a descending salary sort, Derek Watt is our starting RB and Boykin is WR2 after DJ.

The same people have moved him up to QB2 and said the QB1 job is still open. But hey...what do they know?

If the season was all about evaluating KP...then you are right

However, I think the organization has more confidence in what we can achieve than many fans and they aren'y going to tank the season to evaluate one player. If MT isn't doing it after the quarter-season mark, then you consider the change

Oh, the Steelers are tanking this year, they just don't know it yet.
